The Venue History
Early 13th century onwards · Medieval chateau with Renaissance and 19th/20th century additions
The Domaine du Pordor was the seat of a powerful seigneury from the early 13th century. The original domain included five farms covering approximately 300 hectares. The chateau was miraculously preserved from fires and revolutionary upheaval. It was inherited by various prominent families including the Cochard and Le Gouvello families. In the second half of the 19th century, the northern building was constructed by Monsieur Couetoux du Tertre but remained unfinished as a stable and barn until the current owner transformed it into a small theatre used as a ballroom for wedding ceremonies. In 1906, Monsieur Pommier built the southern part of the castle overlooking the lake.
