About the Venue Château Les Garennes is located in Clohars-Fouesnant, near Bénodet in Brittany, northern France. Originally built in 1890 in neoclassical style, the château stands within a 55-hectare English-style estate 22 hectares of which are wooded and is officially recognised as a Jardin Remarquable. This historic venue once served as a German kommandantur in 1940 and sheltered French resistance figures, including Honoré d’Estienne d’Orves, in 1944.
