Chateau du Terral
About This Venue
A jewel of Occitan heritage for your dream wedding
A neo-Renaissance château built between 1889 and 1909 in the heart of the Minervois wine region, offering exclusive wedding celebrations with accommodation for 25 guests, a private chapel, and 11 hectares of listed gardens with vineyards and olive groves.
The Venue History
1889-1909 · neo-Renaissance and classical
Château du Terral was built between 1889 and 1909 by André d'Andoque, a Minervois vineyard owner, as a gift to his wife Germaine. Designed by renowned Bordeaux architects Louis and Alexandre Garros, the château was constructed on the remains of an 18th-century farmhouse. The architecture reflects the prestige and ambition of the wine-growing bourgeoisie of the late 19th century. In 1909, a magnificent Gothic Revival chapel was added to the west wing. In 2005, the building and its chapel, stables, state rooms, and original park elements were classified as a Historic Monument, protecting this integral part of the region's historic and cultural heritage.
