The Venue History

15th century · 15th-century château with coral-washed facade, elegant turrets, and double staircase

Red living-room listed as French historic monument (Dufour wallpaper depicting Cupid and Psyche); gardens recognized for historical and landscape significance

Château de Garrevaques has been in the same family for 18 generations, spanning over 500 years of continuous ownership. Built in the 15th century, it witnessed the Wars of Religion in southwestern France, was burned during the French Revolution, and was requisitioned by Nazi forces during World War II. The family still holds extensive historical archives from these periods. The château is now operated by Caroline Combes-Pouzet (née Pouzet), who created 'My French Way of Life' after 20 years of experience in theater.
