The Venue History
Néo-classique
Chateau Couffins has a rich family history dating back to before the French Revolution, originally built by the Du Perrier de Larsan family. Between 1874-1922 it was a high-place of the Fronsadais wine region under Auguste Seigan Jr, André Cousteau and family. The vineyard was destroyed in 1956 due to poor weather and lack of appellation recognition. The Vandenberghe-Parret family took over in 1956 and restructured the domain for polyculture and cattle raising. Since 2009, Nathalie Bonnet has transformed it into a tourism-focused venue with her daughter Anouk.
