Charlotte and Joshua gathered family and friends at Chateau Gassies, an 18th-century hilltop wedding estate overlooking the Garonne vineyards on a warm morning in Bordeaux. The estate's symmetrical facades and formal garden geometries provided a quietly confident backdrop for a celebration designed around elegant destination weddings in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine wine country.
Getting Ready

Charlotte's preparation unfolded in a private suite where Joana Ronquillo crafted dewy skin, a barely-there flush of rose, and hair swept into clean structured waves. Soft morning light filtered through aged shutters as bridesmaids moved between chairs and mirrors, trading nervous laughter in a quiet choreography of zips and clasps.
Ceremony

The ceremony was held in a light-filled interior salon, arched windows framing the vineyards in a soft haze beyond. The Green Den Atelier constructed a floral installation of white hydrangea, ivory garden roses, and loose trails of Italian ruscus, anchored by two oversized branching arrangements that never competed with the view. When Charlotte appeared at the doorway, Joshua laughed quietly before composing himself.
Couple Portraits

Late afternoon, when the vineyard light turned from white to amber, Charlotte and Joshua walked into the lower gardens for portraits with Vlasta Weddings. Charlotte's silk crepe column gown with its low architectural back vibrated against stone and climbing ivy. The bridesmaids in sage green midi dresses and groomsmen in dove grey linen joined them on the front terrace, someone's joke just before the shutter producing the most honest frame of the set.
Reception

Maison Dulou produced a menu rooted in the southwest: duck, seasonal asparagus, and a cheese trolley that drew applause. The long tables hummed with the particular joy of people who are well-fed and genuinely happy to be in the same room. Dancing began later than planned, as it always does when conversation runs this well, and the last guests left the terrace past midnight with the valley dark and still below.
