Gilded Mouldings and Jasmine Florals at Chateau de Villette, Ile-de-France

A design workshop at Chateau de Villette near Paris, with silk crepe bridal fashion, trailing jasmine, and apricot florals. 50 photos by Lorena Boiron.

By Elena Moretti | Published 31 July 2024

Tall windows pouring light across gilded mouldings and blush arrangements reflected in mirrored water on the lawn set the register for this design workshop at Chateau de Villette, an iconic private estate near Paris for luxury weddings. Orchestrated by Sparkling Moments Events with creative direction by Still Miracle, the day moved between grand salon interiors, a chapel ceremony aisle, and a terrace dinner table across one of the most refined wedding destinations in the Ile-de-France region.

Getting Ready

Anna Torno Style dressed hair in a soft chignon with face-framing tendrils, keeping makeup in warm peach and terracotta tones that echoed the floral palette. The bridal gown from Top Bridal Paris, a column silhouette in silk crepe with a low draped back, shifted between ivory in the gilded salon interior and pure white under sharp daylight. One quiet pause at a tall mirror, adjusting a cuff, and the room went still.

Ceremony

An outdoor wedding ceremony setup photographed from a wide, elevated angle in the formal garden of a French château. The ceremony area features two curved rows of white chairs flanking a central aisle, bordered by large ground-level floral installations in soft pink, blush, yellow, and peach tones — appearing to include garden roses, delphiniums, and ranunculus arranged in lush, low mounds. The formal garden is lined with precisely clipped conical topiary trees leading toward the château facade, which is a three-story honey-colored limestone building with yellow shutters, arched windows, and a slate mansard roof. The foreground shows a cobblestone forecourt, and the overall styling is classic French formal with a soft, romantic floral palette. Potential venue feature image.

The private chapel at Chateau de Villette held the ceremony in cool stone and full quiet, its walls keeping the interior hushed even with windows open. An aisle of low arrangements in blush and ivory led to the altar, each cluster set at seat-row height so the vaulted architecture above stayed visible. Footsteps, a breath, the faint rustle of silk crepe moving forward filled the space.

Lorena Boiron moved the couple through three settings across the estate: the mirrored water feature, clipped garden parterres in full afternoon light, and the long axial lawn with the chateau receding behind. Each location drew a different energy. Between the wide compositions and the smaller, unguarded turns of a shoulder or a shared word, these portraits carry the estate's architectural grandeur alongside genuine warmth.

The terrace dinner table extended along the orangery's stone balustrade, set for a long evening. Ivory linen folded with deliberate looseness, glassware catching the last horizontal light, and Elephant Limbo place cards in warm sepia script at each setting. As the first candles were lit, the table shifted from a design study into something genuinely ready to be sat down at.

Botanica Event Bcn worked in soft blush, warm apricot, and ivory white, choosing garden roses, ranunculus, and trailing jasmine that released a faint sweetness into the salon air. Low centrepieces kept sightlines open across the full terrace table length. Stationery by Elephant Limbo opened the visual story with thick ivory card stock, script lettering in warm sepia ink, and envelope liners in the faintest dusty rose.

The symmetrical stone facade of Chateau de Villette anchors every composition before a single flower is placed. Axial lawns stretch toward clipped hedgerows, gravel paths draw the eye outward, and the mirrored water feature doubles the afternoon sky in pale gold and ash blue. The estate's private chapel and orangery give genuine ceremony choices without ever leaving the grounds.

More from the Day

Flat lay of wedding stationery suite with heart-shaped invitation, calligraphy cards, and velvet ribbon on blue damask
A flat lay detail shot of bridal accessories arranged on a stone floor. The central items are a pair of pale blue brocade pointed-toe heels with gold floral embroidery and mint satin bow embellishments, labeled 'Something Bleu' and made in Italy. Surrounding them are two hand fans — one painted with a floral motif on bamboo slats, one plain perforated wood — along with white feather trim, a large blush pink silk ribbon bow, gold coin jewellery pieces, a delicate gold floral earring or charm with a pearl detail, a small circular gold compact or trinket, and scattered small botanical sprigs. The overall styling palette is soft blush, mint, and gold, with a romantic, vintage-inspired aesthetic.
Bride in corset and pearls holding blue ostrich feather fan on gold settee in French chateau room
Black-and-white bridal boudoir portrait taken indoors in what appears to be a French château or manor house. The bride leans against a panelled door between tall French windows, wearing a structured corset-style bridal bodysuit with lace shorts, fishnet stockings, white heeled mules, layered pearl necklaces, and short white gloves. Her hair is styled in a loosely pinned updo with a fringe, and she gazes toward the window with one hand raised to her lips. To her right stands an ornate carved pedestal topped with a crystal candelabra. The image has soft, even tones with moderate contrast, and is composed as a full-length portrait with the architectural detailing of the room forming the background.
