Crystal chandeliers suspended above a crescent tablescape, a circular ceremony with a pink and blush floral arch at its centre, and a vintage cream convertible parked on centuries-old gravel: this styled shoot at Chateau Martinay near Carpentras was built around shapes rather than straight lines. Planner Oui Love This Day and Provence wedding photographer Pattie Fellowes chose one of Provence's most distinctive chateau wedding venues as the canvas for a shoot that demonstrates how geometry can transform an outdoor space.

The ceremony layout was fully circular, with chairs arranged in a spiral around the couple and a pink and blush floral arch marking the altar at the centre. Florist Céline Braun built the arch dense with garden roses, snapdragons, and trailing blooms designed to be seen from every angle. Pink taper candles lined the outermost ring. The effect pulled the eye inward, creating a setting where every seat felt front row, a layout well suited to Provençal garden ceremonies.

The Tina Valerdi princess gown held its shape against stone and garden, its full skirt structured enough to anchor every frame. A trailing bouquet of garden roses and snapdragons in pink and blush from Céline Braun matched the scale of the gown. Long lace gloves extended the silhouette. A second look followed: the high-neck Hervé Moreau reception dress, quieter in structure, equally precise in detail.

The reception tablescape was crescent-shaped, set on the chateau lawn beneath crystal chandeliers. Encres et Nuances stationery marked each place setting on gold tableware from JANI. Pink taper candles from Ciergerie des Prémontrés ran the full length of the crescent. Céline Braun's centrepieces combined garden roses in three stages of bloom with snapdragons and ivory elements, keeping the arrangement from reading as monochromatic. The floral arch appeared twice in the shoot: first as ceremony architecture, then photographed independently to show its structure. Céline Braun built it with enough depth that it read as a room rather than a frame. Crystal glassware caught afternoon light across the tablescape, scattering reflections into the stone surrounds. The garden fountain appeared in aerial shots, its symmetry rhyming with the circular ceremony layout. Couples seeking a similar aesthetic can find more classic and refined wedding venues across France.

The invitation suite from Encres et Nuances was shot in pink and ivory, hand-lettering carrying the blush palette of the florals. Wedding rings by Mohedano Jewelry appeared alongside a perfume bottle, gold settings matching the warm tones of the tableware. Jewellery from So Helo added further metal detail to the flat lay compositions.

Chateau Martinay's stone staircase and centuries-old facade anchored the portrait and venue sequences. Aerial shots showed the estate's geometry from above: the formal courtyard, the fountain at its axis, the reception lawn beyond. Brick and stone wall sections read differently in the drone frames, giving texture and age to what from ground level presents as pale render and sculptured form. Situated near Carpentras in the Avignon countryside, the estate is one of the most photogenic chateau wedding venues in France.
