Ivory Blooms and Warm Stone at Chateau du Pont Bourguet, Occitanie

James and Sofia’s spring wedding at Chateau du Pont Bourguet, Occitanie, with ivory florals and candlelit orangerie dining. 43 photos by Lina Bernard.

By Elena Moretti | Published 23 June 2025

James and Sofia chose Chateau du Pont Bourguet, an 18th-century wedding estate in Occitanie for a spring celebration shaped by warm stone, soft florals, and editorial precision. Set against the sun-warmed facade and restored orangerie of this captivating countryside wedding venue near Toulouse, Emilie Chacon directed a day where ivory tones, crystal, and candlelight moved through every room.

Sofia stood barefoot on the gravel terrace in an ivory strapless gown with a ruched bodice, her long veil lifting in the spring breeze. Lina Bernard captured profile shots against the pale stone facade, using the afternoon light to trace the soft folds of tulle. Each frame drew on the contrast between the restored orangerie walls and the movement of sheer fabric.

Lina Bernard guided James and Sofia through the parkland paths and along the gravel courtyard, where the warm stone of the chateau filled every background. The couple paused beneath tall plane trees for a sequence of candid exchanges, light filtering through new spring leaves. Several frames captured their first look by the staircase, where the veil caught a gust and swept across the balustrade.

A champagne tower stood at the centre of the orangerie ruins, golden bubbles catching the last spring sunlight as James poured from a magnum. Dinner unfolded beneath suspended chandeliers, the scent of roasted herbs mixing with conversation. Cocotte et Coquette styled the final decorative accents across the aged stone alcoves, completing a reception that balanced formality with the relaxed warmth of a countryside evening.

Nebuleuse Fleurie composed centrepieces of white hydrangeas, calla lilies, and blush carnations, repeated along the long reception tables inside the orangerie. Ze Party Box provided the invitation suite, laid out on a textured linen surface alongside rings from Bijouterie Mohedano. Crystal glassware and vintage silver anchored the place settings, while toile linens introduced a quiet pattern beneath the suspended chandeliers.
