Sanni and Kim shaped their summer celebration around unhurried outdoor dining and a green-and-white palette at La Deveze, a restored farmhouse wedding venue near Montpellier. Planned by Daniela Lewis Weddings and photographed by Minna Kaita, the day moved from hillside vows to a candlelit feast beneath the trees in the sun-drenched wedding countryside surrounding Montpellier.
Getting Ready

The bride slipped into a strapless sweetheart-neckline gown with a fitted silhouette and cathedral-length veil, pairing it with jewelled slingback heels that caught the light against the wrought-iron staircase of La Deveze. Meanwhile, Kim prepared in a separate room, adjusting a dark bow tie before pulling on his tuxedo jacket. A Burberry Goddess perfume bottle sat nearby, a small detail that set the tone for a day built on refined ease.
Ceremony

Sanni and Kim exchanged vows on an elevated wooden deck overlooking a sweeping valley and forested hills, the summer sun warming every word. A ceremony arch draped in white fabric and green foliage framed the couple as they stood before wide countryside views. Guests gathered in rows of chairs on either side, and the first kiss drew cheers that echoed across the landscape. The open-air setting gave the moment a sense of scale that felt equal parts grand and deeply personal.
Bridal Portraits

Minna Kaita led Sanni through the vineyard rows and open meadows surrounding La Deveze, capturing solo portraits as the last light stretched across the Occitanie hills. In one frame the bride stands among grapevines, her tulle veil lifting in the breeze, while in another she poses before a stone tower, the fitted gown and cathedral train stark against the weathered facade. The mix of black-and-white and colour frames gave the series a timeless editorial quality.
Couple Portraits

Minna Kaita drew the couple into the golden fields beyond the ceremony deck, where Sanni and Kim ran, laughed, and dipped into kisses with the mountain ridge behind them. She alternated between colour and black-and-white, lending a cinematic grain to the dusk-lit frames. One standout image shows the groom sweeping the bride into a low dip while her veil billows overhead, a single moment that captured the energy of the entire day.
Bridal Party

The bridal party gathered on the open lawn of the estate, the bridesmaids in butter-yellow dresses that popped against the green vineyard backdrop and pink flowering shrubs. Sanni stood at the centre in her white fitted gown, bouquet in hand, while the group walked arm in arm across the grounds, visibly relaxed and laughing. The warm tones of the dresses echoed the summer light, tying the party portraits back to the celebration palette.
Reception

As the sun dipped below the tree canopy, guests settled at round tables dressed in white linen on the gravel terrace for a generous open-air feast. The venue chef served seasonal dishes designed for long, unhurried dining, while candles flickered between low ivory and green centrepieces. A pavlova-style wedding cake topped with whipped cream and summer fruit doubled as dessert and conversation piece. Late into the evening, fairy lights strung through the branches drew everyone onto the dance floor for barefoot spins beneath the stars.
Design and Details

Green and white ran through every surface, from the low hydrangea-and-sweet-pea centrepieces to the crisp linen napkins folded at each place setting. Dappled leaf shadows played across the ivory charger plates, reinforcing the garden atmosphere that Sanni and Kim wanted. A wildflower-bordered invitation suite in soft coral and blue anchored the stationery details, while hand-lettered menus carried the palette through to the table. The overall effect was minimalist yet warm, letting the natural surroundings do the heavy lifting.

The property combines rustic character with polished amenities, giving couples both a scenic backdrop and the practical comfort of an all-in-one estate.
