⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"What an amazing property and wonderful service by the owner and the staff. Plenty of space for large groups and delicious meals to support whatever event you are planning....wedding, events, retreats, family reunions. "We can't rave about this venue enough" - Lucia Carne
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"Where to begin! Me and my husband can't rave about this venue enough. We chose this venue for our wedding and boy did they deliver! If you are looking for a personal, intimate and frankly incredible venue for your event, then here is where you need to book. Everything was so effortless and smooth, we are still beaming from how incredible our wedding weekend was. Facilities are fantastic, versatile use of all areas, comfortable bedrooms and just generally so beautiful! I want to thank the owners, suppliers and team for making our day so magical, memorable and one we will never forget - you have been amazing!"
Our Thoughts:
Lucia's enthusiasm is palpable, and her use of "personal" and "intimate" as top descriptors tells future couples exactly what to expect. This is not a corporate-feeling venue. Chateau d'Oche in southwest France clearly delivers a home-from-home experience where the owners treat your wedding as if it were their own family celebration.

"The perfect blend of keeping the charm but modernizing where it counts" - Tracy Juechter
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Chateau d'Oche. What an amazing experience! The grounds were spectacular, so many flowers and huge trees, the bedroom was stunning, and the Chateaux was remodeled with the perfect blend of keeping the charm but modernizing where it counts. The owner and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We hosted a spiritual retreat there and will be doing it again next year!!!"
Our Thoughts:
Tracy's description of the renovation approach, "keeping the charm but modernizing where it counts," is the kind of balance many couples hope for but rarely find. At Chateau d'Oche, the neo-Gothic character remains intact while the rooms, bathrooms, and facilities meet contemporary standards. This thoughtful approach to restoration sets it apart from Nouvelle-Aquitaine venues that have either over-modernized or remained too rustic.

"It felt like a very big home, away from home" - Thomas Mitchard
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"Where to start... My partner and I have returned from celebrating our wedding at this STUNNING chateau. I am genuinely lost for words in what to write about this place as all I have said to people is how magical and incredible the chateau is. From arrival to departure, you are made to feel so welcome by Dominique, Leslie, Martin and all at Oche. It felt like a VERY BIG home, away from home. The whole chateau and the grounds it is on are kept in such incredible shape. A building with character but a sense of belonging. You wont be disappointed if staying here! I again am genuinely struggling for words to describe this beautiful place, you really do have to witness and/or stay at chateau Oche to understand just how pure and special this chateau is. Thank you to Dominique and Leslie for allowing us to experience your wonderful chateau. Simply put, it was sensational."
Our Thoughts:
Thomas captures something that statistics and specifications cannot: the feeling of belonging. His description of Chateau d'Oche as "a very big home, away from home" is perhaps the most telling endorsement possible for a wedding venue. When your guests feel that sense of ease and warmth the moment they arrive, the celebration becomes deeper and more personal. This is exactly the atmosphere that draws couples to the Dordogne region.

"So many options for your big day" - Veronika K
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"We have hosted our wedding at Chateau D'Oche in August and I couldn't recommend more! Location is stunning and allows for so many options for your big day - we have opted for ceremony under old trees at the front, cocktails and canapes at the back overlooking stunning greenery but also enjoying chateau in the background and our wedding dinner in the courtyard wrapped by the chateau's stunning architecture. Chateau also offers two rooms inside big enough to accommodate your dinner or DJ party and has a cute chapel at the back which is often used for ceremonies. Inside - plenty of space for your guests and entertaining - two kitchens, lounge spaces, dining room etc. Variety of bedrooms with ensuites or shared bathrooms allowed us to place pretty much 50% of our guests with us + lovely interiors peppered with antiques is always a plus! And of course a swimming pool. Martin and the Chateau's owner were very accommodating and helpful - whether it was finding local bakeries or doing reservations/calling taxis in French. I also really enjoyed meeting an owner who baked us a fabulous banana bread!"
Our Thoughts:
Veronika's review is a masterclass in practical detail. She maps out exactly how she used the different spaces, from ceremony under the trees to cocktails with a garden backdrop to a courtyard dinner. The banana bread anecdote perfectly illustrates the personal touch that sets owner-operated venues apart from hotel-style properties. For international couples who need help navigating local logistics, the team's willingness to call bakeries and arrange taxis in French is genuinely reassuring for a Nouvelle-Aquitaine celebration.
