Dark Celosias and Pleated Silk at Le Grand Belly near Avignon
Hannah and Jullian's July wedding at Le Grand Belly near Avignon: a Danielle Frankel gown, dark celosia chuppah, and champagne tower. By Tatiana Braoun.

Hannah and Jullian summer celebration began with a Dear Love cloth hanging from a 500-year-old oak at Le Grand Belly, a 13th-century Provencal domaine wedding venue near Avignon. The stone-walled mas, approached via a cypress-lined gravel drive with lavender borders, framed every moment from ceremony to champagne tower across the sun-drenched wedding region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Getting Ready

Inside the stone walls of the domaine, Hannah fastened a heeled bridal shoe with a bow detail while seated in a carved Louis XVI armchair. The Rainey gown by Danielle Frankel, strapless and crafted from pleated, hand-crinkled silk wool with fluid draping, hung from a branch-shaped wall hook. Daniella Ingle kept the finish deliberately clean: luminous skin and a low chignon, nothing competing with the architectural lines of the dress.
Ceremony

A curved grass aisle led between clusters of ornamental grasses, wine-dark amaranths, and dried hydrangeas arranged low to the ground. Cross-back chairs held folding fans printed in rose calligraphy. The chuppah rose above as a vegetal waterfall of celosias in deep burgundy and dahlias in near-black crimson, tumbling from an asymmetric structure beneath a 500-year-old oak. Hannah father walked her down stone steps to the aisle as Charlotte from Rhapsody Planner kept every element aligned.
Bridal Portraits

Against bone-white rendered walls and in the courtyard of the stone-facade mas, Hannah ivory-into-ecru silhouette read almost architectural. Tatiana Braoun worked with the direct July light, drawing out cool silver tones of the crinkled silk against warmer stone. In the lavender fields beyond the property, with cypress trees rising behind, the matching Danielle Frankel veil trailed across summer grass.
Couple Portraits

In the last of the afternoon light, Tatiana Braoun took Hannah and Jullian back to the oak tree where the white cloth was still hanging in the heavy July air. On a gravel path lined with cypress trees at dusk, Hannah pleated silver-white gown caught golden hour warmth. Later, in a lavender field with a wooded hillside behind them, they stood close, present with each other rather than performing anything.
Reception

When unexpected rain arrived, dinner moved indoors and the atmosphere transformed into a candlelit world inside the stone walls. An ikebana spirit guided the florals, with asparagus fern and cotinus creating a floating sensation above the tables. The champagne tower pour came next, Jullian raising the bottle with his collar open and a grin, before the first dance on a stone-paved terrace.
Design and Details

A pleated head table echoed Hannah gown directly, blurring the line between bride and setting. Centrepieces from Silk Flowers France combined white-green anthuriums and dark red celosia with ornamental grass in textured ceramic vessels, lit by wall sconces and candlelight. Three vintage enamelware pitchers in periwinkle and powder blue held informal arrangements. The palette moved from bone white through ecru and burgundy into near-black.
Flat Lays

The invitation suite carried the Dear Love motif across ivory deckle-edged card stock printed in burgundy script, with text in both French and Hebrew. Three rings rested on the paper beside drop earrings in pale morning light. Jullian black penny loafers sat propped in a limestone niche with a bow tie and cufflinks.
