A Sofreh Aghd and Fireworks at Chateau de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre
Julie and Charlie’s Persian-French wedding at Chateau de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre with a Sofreh Aghd, Monique Lhuillier gown, and fireworks. By Holly Clark.
Julie and Charlie placed a Sofreh Aghd at the heart of their celebration at Chateau de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre, a grand 19th-century estate north of Paris, letting Persian and French traditions run side by side from ceremony to fireworks. Agence LB, specialists in large-scale French wedding planning, orchestrated the day across colonnades, gardens, and a neoclassical ballroom. Getting Ready

Julie’s preparations unfolded in a room with pale blue-grey panelling and gilded floral wall carvings. Paris By Charlene built the look around deep berry lips and a luminous skin finish, while Jolanta Cedro shaped her hair into a low, structured updo. Julie descended the grand staircase in her Monique Lhuillier ballgown, her father at her arm, as Persian music drifted up from below.
Ceremony

Guests watched from gold-framed Louis XVI chairs as Julie walked the gravel aisle on both parents’ arms. Beneath a circular floral arch of dense greenery, ivory blooms, and pampas grass, she and Charlie took their place at the Sofreh Aghd. The honey-tasting moment drew a quiet laugh from both families. Your Dream Band shifted between Persian ceremony music and French salon with fluid ease.
Bridal Portraits

Holly Clark framed Julie in the colonnaded hallway, her ivory Monique Lhuillier ballgown catching soft afternoon light through the tall arched windows. The cathedral-length veil lifted in the cool air as she stood against the stone balustrade, the full layered tulle skirt and lace applique bodice reading sharp against pale limestone.
Couple Portraits

Holly Clark took Julie and Charlie back to the fountain, the detail that made the venue choice personal. With the stone basin and manicured lawns behind them, Charlie’s hand rested at the small of Julie’s back while her Monique Lhuillier gown caught the last warmth before blue hour settled over the grounds.
Reception

Grand Chemin Traiteur served dinner in the high-ceilinged ballroom beneath crystal chandeliers. Cedric Grolet contributed to the sweet table while Synies produced the four-tier wedding cake. After the first dance on the checkered marble floor, Charlie and his groomsmen broke into a choreographed routine. Fetes et Feux lit the sky above the parkland with fireworks as the couple watched from the gravel courtyard.
Design and Details

The Sofreh Aghd was the centrepiece: flatbread decorated with calligraphy, a gold-framed mirror, candelabra, fresh herbs, honey jars, and pomegranate seeds on ivory embroidered cloth beneath the stone arches. Floraison filled the space with ivory garden roses, gold-tipped dried pampas, and deep green foliage. The stationery suite by Studio 120 Wedding, Cartalia Studio, and Rose and Beau Designs paired sage green script with a gold monogram crest.
Venue

Chateau de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre offered stone colonnades, a restored fountain where Julie and Charlie first met, and 42 hectares of parkland north of Paris. The neoclassical ballroom with crystal chandeliers and carved bas-relief fireplace hosted dinner, while the gravel forecourt and formal gardens staged the ceremony and portraits.
