Olivia and Ethan chose Domaine des Halles, a Belle Epoque forest estate and wedding venue near Lyon for a spring celebration where editorial confidence met old-world stone. Sylvain Bouzat used the cool Auvergne light and deliberate flash to bring crisp energy to every frame, from ceremony vows on the outdoor terrace to late-night portraits in the colonnade of this grand chateau wedding venue in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region.

Soft morning light filtered through tall windows as Dounia Joua worked on the bride's makeup with a rose-gold brush, steadying the finishing touches with calm precision. Olivia sat in a cream satin bridal robe, the strapless Les Filles Fideles gown hanging nearby on a wooden hanger against the French doors, its sheer boning panels and draped skirt catching the first warmth of the day.

The strapless mermaid silhouette read differently at each location Sylvain Bouzat chose: composed on the exterior stone steps before ornate wrought-iron doors, cinematic against open sky shot from below, and playful in a vintage blue convertible with a champagne flute raised. For the evening, Olivia changed into a heavily beaded mini dress with a square neckline and cap sleeves, a sharp departure that Sylvain captured against the colonnade's cool grey stone.

Twenty frames covered three registers: the formal gravel forecourt with the chateau's full facade behind them, the stone balustrade terrace with topiary and landscaped gardens, and close-up compositions where beaded ivory sequins caught the light. Sylvain Bouzat used deliberate flash work to bring a crisp editorial energy to each frame. What comes through in every image is ease, two people who stopped performing and simply settled into being together.

Long rectangular tables ran across the gravel terrace directly in front of the pale stone facade, white linen cloths anchoring the setting against formal gardens and slate rooftops. Emilie Gueyffier's red velvet layer cake with white cream and berry decoration was cut outdoors, each crimson slice vivid against the green botanical china. A sleek white bar on the stone terrace had held champagne flutes and clusters of dark greenery during cocktails, the first signal of the evening ahead.

Paloma Wood styled the tablescape around green botanical-print plates with intricate floral scroll motifs, each holding a printed menu card from Promesse Graphique. Dans les Hautes Herbes built a large sculptural floral installation at the base of the grand staircase, combining mauve hydrangea and deep burgundy anthurium in a loose arrangement. Artichokes and grapes served as French market-inspired centerpieces alongside antique green-rimmed china and slender silver candlesticks. Wedding stationery sat arranged on a deep red velvet armchair.

Domaine des Halles unfolds across pale stone facades, slate mansard roofs, pointed turrets, and formally clipped topiary cones lining the gravel approach. Aerial views reveal Gothic-inspired detailing set against dense mature woodland, a private world that feels both grand and contained. The stone balustrade terrace and colonnade offered natural framing for portraits throughout the spring day.
