Marie-Antoinette Pastels at Chateau de Clermont-Tonnerre, Somme
Sondra and Edouard's powder blue and blush summer 2024 wedding at Chateau de Clermont-Tonnerre in Somme, photographed by Tatiana Braoun, France.
Sondra and Edouard brought a Marie-Antoinette-inspired palette of powder blue, blush pink, and buttery yellow to Chateau de Clermont Tonnerre for their summer celebration. Planner Plan'On Event orchestrated a day that moved from a flower-framed forest ceremony to a gilded reception beneath mirrored walls. Tatiana Braoun photographed every chapter of this Franco-American love story set against one of the most elegant countryside wedding destinations in Hauts-de-France.
Getting Ready

Sondra dressed in a lace gown with contemporary structure and long sleeves, its open back adding a modern edge to a classic silhouette. Her lace-trimmed cathedral veil, positioned by an attendant near tall windows, caught soft morning light. Enzo le Coiffeur styled her hair to frame the intricate detailing, while Larissa handled makeup that leaned natural and luminous.
Ceremony

Beneath a grounded floral arch shaped by A l'Ombre des Bleuets, the couple exchanged vows in a tree-lined clearing at Chateau de Clermont Tonnerre. Louis XVI-style rattan-back chairs lined the aisle, their bases dressed with trailing hydrangeas in powder blue and blush pink. Sondra and Edouard sat together during the readings, golden summer light filtering through the canopy as the ceremony grew quietly emotional.
Bridal Portraits

Sondra posed against the pale stone facade of the chateau, her ivory lace sleeves and fitted bodice catching afternoon light. She held a hand-tied bouquet of white and blush blooms with loose greenery that echoed the soft garden palette. On the open lawn, her cathedral-length veil swept across the grass, creating a dramatic silhouette against the symmetrical architecture.
Couple Portraits

Tatiana Braoun captured the pair in the courtyard and surrounding parkland, alternating between intimate black-and-white frames and golden-hour color. Edouard adjusted Sondra's veil as they posed near the classical facades, his deep green tailored suit a striking contrast to her ivory lace. The images moved between quiet interior moments with decorative moldings and open-air compositions where the summer evening light did most of the work.
Bridal Party

Sondra's bridesmaids wore soft pastel dresses in blush, lavender, and pale blue, each carrying smaller versions of the bridal bouquet. The group gathered on the chateau grounds for portraits in front of the stone facade, the arched windows and shutters framing them. In the forested clearing, the full party lined up among the ceremony chairs, their mixed pastels echoing the Marie-Antoinette palette that shaped every detail.
Cocktail Hour

Guests gathered in the classical courtyard for cocktails beneath cream-colored fringed parasols. Reveries et Bois provided vintage wooden service stations that grounded the grandeur with rustic texture. The bride and groom circulated freely, Sondra's lace train trailing across the stone paving as the summer evening settled over the estate.
Reception

Dinner unfolded inside the chateau beneath gold moldings and mirrored walls, where Gourmet Reception served a refined menu honoring local Picardy flavors. Cremence's three-tiered cake, adorned with hand-crafted sugar flowers in the wedding's pastel palette, anchored the dessert display. A champagne tower of coupe glasses drew guests in for an exuberant group toast before Bazka Boy filled the gilded rooms with music that carried the party deep into the summer night.
Design and Details

A l'Ombre des Bleuets carried the couple's watercolor palette through every arrangement, from ceremony arch to reception mantels lined with pale pink hydrangeas, white roses, and peach spray roses. Bridesmaid bouquets mixed coral, blush, and soft tangerine blooms in loose hand-tied clusters. Cream rattan chairs at the ceremony were dressed with low floral arrangements at their bases, trailing petals in rust, yellow, and pink across the natural wood.
Flat Lays

Custom stationery by Ladem Papeterie set the tone with cream programs scattered with dried flower petals in rust, yellow, and pink. The bride's accessories were arranged on a white linen-draped surface beside lace curtains, a ribbed glass vase of fresh blooms completing the vignette. Textured wallpaper and dark-framed windows in the dressing room provided a moody backdrop for the final details.
Venue

Chateau de Clermont Tonnerre in Bertangles, Somme, offered both a forested ceremony clearing and ornate interior salons for the reception. The classical pale stone facade with its symmetrical mansard roofing and tall arched windows gave structure to portraits, while the tree-lined parkland created a natural cathedral for the vows. Inside, gilded moldings and period fireplaces brought 18th-century grandeur to the evening celebrations.
