Wisteria and Ivory Silk at Chateau Acar de Bedou, Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Paula and Toni's spring wedding at Chateau Acar de Bedou near Bordeaux. Rouvell Wedding gown, wisteria courtyards, sage and blush. 63 photos by Lucie Cabalou.
Paula and Toni's spring wedding at Chateau Acar de Bedou wove modern fashion instincts through 18th-century limestone bones with quiet confidence. Planned by Farniente Agency and styled by Polina Yarmush, the day moved from wisteria-draped courtyards to candlelit salons just one hour from Bordeaux. Lucie Cabalou captured every shift in light across this elegant chateau wedding estate in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Getting Ready

The bride's Rouvell Wedding gown hung against a shuttered window in the chateau's private rooms, its sculptural ivory silk and voluminous sleeves catching the morning light. Mary Vishniakova kept the beauty look grounded with warm peach tones and a clean brow. Ivory silk robes, cool stone floors, and the quiet click of compacts set the pace. In a separate room, the groom adjusted his ivory Rives Paris suit in front of a gilt-framed panel.
Bridal Portraits

Inside the grand salon, Lucie Cabalou captured the bride moving through pools of afternoon light with the ease of someone at home in the space. The Rouvell gown's structured bodice and billowing sleeves rippled with each turn, silk shifting between cool ivory and warm champagne. One frame caught her hand resting on carved stone banisters, another the sweep of the hem across parquet the colour of dark honey.
Couple Portraits

As dusk softened the sky to peach and violet, Lucie Cabalou led the couple into the gardens for portraits that felt like stolen time. They walked gravel paths, the bride's silk hem grazing lavender borders. The bridal party in soft sage chiffon and the groom's party in ivory linen gathered on the front steps, dissolving into laughter the moment someone cracked a joke.
Reception

Guests spilled into the courtyard as golden hour arrived, prosecco flutes catching the light beside hand-crafted canapes from the chateau's kitchen. By evening, crystal chandeliers warmed the salon as long tables in raw linen ran the length of the room. The couple's unhurried first dance gave way to dinner, speeches that brought tears and real laughter, and dancing on parquet well past midnight.
Design and Details

Stylist Polina Yarmush built the palette around ivory, warm blush, and sage with accents of antique gold. Ecru linen napkins sat beside hand-painted watercolour place cards, while pillar candles in warm cream clustered between cafe-au-lait roses, dusty mauve sweet peas, and trailing amaranthus from Olga Kolos. Menus on thick cotton-rag card with a soft deckle edge completed each setting.
Flat Lays

Arranged on aged stone and linen, the flat lays told a story of considered taste. Silk satin heels sat beside a bouquet of blush garden roses, white ranunculus, and trailing sweet peas by Olga Kolos. A slim gold band, a single ranunculus buttonhole, and the Rives Paris suit jacket completed the picture. Minted stationery in fine italic script tied the pieces together on heavy cream stock.
