Laura and Romain stripped their spring celebration back to chalk white and jet black, letting texture, shape, and light do all the talking at Chateau Couffins, a limestone countryside estate near Bordeaux. Led by planner Mathilde Metreau, the creative team built every detail around sculptural calla lilies, black ink calligraphy, and warm stone architecture, proving that a single palette can hold endless nuance. Getting Ready

Laura dressed in an upstairs room at Chateau Couffins, where sage-green damask wallpaper and tall French windows set a soft stage. Her off-the-shoulder Mariage Vanille gown, with its sweetheart neckline and corset lace-up back, caught the spring morning light. Gang de Nanas handled makeup while hairstylist Orianne Galvez sculpted a twisted updo that matched the architectural sensibility of the day. Romain prepared nearby, adjusting his Lothaire suit against heavy drapes.
Ceremony

Saxophonist Sylvain of Bel Event filled the grand space with a warm, low melody as the ceremony began. The setting was pared to its essentials: white florals at the aisle, stone walls, and natural light. Romain slipped the ring onto Laura's finger with quiet focus that made the room hold still. Afterwards, the couple descended the grand exterior stone steps side by side, the architecture framing their first moments together.
Bridal Portraits

Marion Alexandra framed the bridal portraits inside the grand salons, using doorway shadows, aged stone, and the geometry of iron window grids. Laura stood before an ornate carved floor mirror, her full train pooling on light oak hardwood. On the exterior stone staircase, the late-spring light wrapped around the off-the-shoulder silhouette and turned every fold of fabric into a line worth following.
Couple Portraits

Marion Alexandra found her most expansive frames in the chateau grounds with the Bordeaux countryside rolling behind. Laura and Romain ran hand-in-hand across a tree-lined lawn, shared a drink from the same wine glass, and kissed beside the vintage convertible decorated with a large white satin bow. The spring light had turned golden, the only warmth in a day built entirely from white and black.
Cocktail Hour

The espresso martini tower became the centrepiece of the afternoon, coupe glasses stacked in a pyramid filled with deep mahogany liquid. Laura and Romain poured together, laughing, while the saxophonist played from the staircase to guests gathered on the gravel courtyard. A vintage dark navy convertible from Voiture Passion Bordeaux waited in the drive, its chrome catching the spring afternoon sun.
Reception

Curved tables gathered guests in arcs outside the ornate stone facade. White anthurium centrepieces rose from linen-dressed surfaces like punctuation marks, and a black circular arch with crystal chandeliers suspended overhead marked the couple's table. Cakes by Leila presented a four-tier all-white creation, smooth ivory rising to a clean finish. Laura and Romain cut it on the gravel courtyard against the carved stone balustrade.
Design and Details

Elsa of Au Zebre worked exclusively in white: calla lilies, garden roses, and anthuriums arranged in forms that felt almost sculptural rather than soft. Curved table formations sourced by Jerome of NPA Evenements broke from standard rectangular layouts. Textured linen from APS Location added tactile warmth to the crisp palette, while black satin ribbon place cards, dark cutlery, and crystal champagne flutes completed each setting.
Flat Lays

Lindsay Rondeaux of Kaligrafia designed jet-black ink strokes on cotton-white card stock, finished with noir satin ribbon and fine edge detailing. Ivory Jimmy Choo pointed-toe heels with pleated fabric sat alongside a single white calla lily, soft tulle bow veil pieces, and rings arranged on marble. The suite read like a physical mood board, spare and completely composed.
