A long table on pale stone terracing, dressed in white linen and scattered with trailing greenery, defines Rebecca's wedding at this elegant nineteenth-century wedding chateau near Bordeaux. Anna Bukowska Photography and planner Pamela Louise Harmey guided each transition with precision, letting the property's architecture do the heavy lifting across a day of deliberate beauty in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the surrounding wine country estates.
Getting Ready

Rebecca stood at a tall window in the chateau's stone-walled suite while Sunset Life Makeup shaped a low, softly undone knot with two face-framing pieces catching the pale morning light. Her gown from TDR Bridal Birmingham, a fluid ivory crepe with a deep V and soft cowl back, hung beside the carved fireplace. Bridesmaids passed champagne flutes and straightened ribbons, laughter warm against the thick limestone walls.
Couple Portraits

Anna Bukowska Photography placed Rebecca and her partner within the estate's stone archways and beside the long reflecting pool, using natural shadow as a compositional anchor. Their body language reads entirely unposed: a forehead pressed to a shoulder, a shared look over wine brought out by the planning team. The chateau's pale limestone shifted from champagne to deep gold as the afternoon moved west.
Design and Details

The reception table ran the full length of the lower terrace, dressed in heavyweight white Belgian linen pooling slightly at the base. Le Coeur Sauvage built tall branching arrangements of ivory ranunculus, garden rose, and cream veronicastrum in low terracotta vessels, interspersed with trailing ivy and olive. Gold flatware and thin-stemmed crystal coupes threw warm fragments of light across the stone. The invitation suite on thick cotton card stock in charcoal ink carried a fine edge of burnished gold.
Venue

Chateau de la Valouze sits within a private estate of mature parkland in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, roughly one hour south of Bordeaux. Pale dressed stone, tall shuttered windows, and steep slate roofing define its nineteenth-century facade. Wide stone terraces accommodate outdoor dining and evening dancing, while interior grand halls provide a natural wet-weather alternative. The estate sits in complete privacy, no neighbouring properties visible from the gardens.
