A full-scale floral archway of blush garden roses and trailing dusty lavender pressed against the pale stone of Chateau de Courtomer, an intimate 18th-century wedding estate with Orangerie and formal gardens. Pascal Vo photographed this editorial shoot in the diffused northern light of Normandy romantic chateau wedding destinations.
Getting Ready

Alesia Solo leaned into the editorial register: a clean, structured finish that reads beautifully in northern light without looking lacquered. Jewellery by Heloise Villenave and Maison Artaner Paris was laid out on cream linen before being fastened. The Alina Marti gown, with its fitted silhouette and clean lines, needed nothing fussy around it.
Ceremony

Officiant Married by Erick conducted the ceremony in the chateau formal setting, the archway of garden roses and dried grasses framing the exchange. For a guest list of up to fifty, the scale felt right: close enough to hear every word, to watch every expression. Videography team Pierre and Julia captured the particular hush of a small outdoor ceremony when the gardens have just started to turn.
Bridal Portraits

Against raw stone and iron gates, the Alina Marti gown photographed as intended: modern, spare, at home in a historic setting. Pascal Vo captured the bride in corridors where shadow and diffused light divided the frame at sharp angles. The ivory crepe held warmth from sun-baked walls while the scent of dry grass and old stone hung in the quiet.
Couple Portraits

In the gardens, topiary and pale gravel gave Pascal Vo clean backgrounds while diffused light meant no harsh shadows. The groom Blandin and Delloye suit held its own against the editorial weight of the gown, working well against stone and green. These are images that look like they were taken at an actual wedding, which is precisely the point of this carefully directed shoot.
Design and Details

Wonderline Wedding built the palette directly from the chateau materials: powder pink, warm cream, and dusty lavender echoing stone, garden roses, and dried grass borders. Fine crystal glassware, cream linen with a faint texture, and brass candlesticks at varying heights dressed the compact tablescape. The Orangerie glass walls held the evening light, and when it finally dropped, candles from Encres et Nuances place settings took over entirely.
Flat Lays

Stationery by Encres et Nuances opened the story: hand-lettered menus and place cards in warm cream ink alongside gold-rimmed crystal and a loose ranunculus stem the colour of old porcelain. Heloise Villenave jewellery pieces caught the light beside them, delicate and sculptural. The composition was tight, tactile, and unmistakably editorial.
Venue

Chateau de Courtomer is an 18th-century estate with a working Orangerie, formal gardens, and a pale stone facade built to hold a flower archway. Tall windows pull diffused northern light deep into every room. The estate sleeps twenty-six on-site and can host ceremonies for up to fifty guests, genuinely intimate at a genuinely grand address.
