Beside Mas de Chabran's stone fountain, with water trickling beneath the vows, Carolyn and Jake exchanged promises before twelve guests. Sebastien Le Fleuriste wove peonies, ranunculus, and white sweet peas directly into the surrounding greenery, creating an arrangement that looked grown rather than placed. The Monique Lhuillier gown caught each gentle breeze off the Alpilles. With so few present, every word landed clearly, and the emotion had nowhere to retreat.

In the walled garden, Carolyn moved through pale light with complete ease. The Monique Lhuillier silk held the low sun differently, softer and more diffused against the old stone fountain. Sebastien Le Fleuriste had paired white anemones with trailing eucalyptus for a bouquet she carried loosely at her side, and Maxime Bernardin framed her against the estate's weathered limestone for portraits built on stillness rather than pose.

Jake waited by the iron garden gate, hands clasped, back turned. When Carolyn touched his shoulder, the expression Maxime Bernardin captured was the kind photographers spend entire careers hoping to find. Later, after dinner had dissolved into ease, the pair walked gravel paths between olive trees, hands linked, genuinely unbothered by the camera. The Alpilles rose as a dark silhouette behind them, and the images carry relief and happiness in equal measure.

The bridesmaids wore soft sage that sat naturally against the pale stone and garden greenery. Their bouquets echoed Carolyn's arrangement from Sebastien Le Fleuriste, white anemones, ranunculus, and loose greenery, tying the group together without rigidity. Jake and his groomsmen brought navy into the palette, grounding the softness with something clean and sharp. The intimacy of the small party was visible in every frame.

One long table beneath Edison-bulb light, twelve people, and a dinner that stretched well past midnight. Deluxe Home Restaurant brought real Provencal cooking: lamb with herbes de Provence, roasted root vegetables, a lavender creme brulee that arrived still warm. Earlier, cocktail hour had unfolded in the courtyard with tapenade on crisp toasts, tiny socca squares, and goat's cheese with honey and thyme. Rosemary from the kitchen garden drifted across the stone terrace as the evening deepened.

The tablescaping drew directly from the landscape: linen in ivory and soft oatmeal, terracotta vessels filled with white anemones and dried botanicals, tapered candles in antique brass holders. Place cards were written by hand in a loose italic script. Carolyn's flat lay details confirmed the palette before a single guest sat down, the Monique Lhuillier accessories arranged alongside white ranunculus and trailing smilax greens sourced by Sebastien Le Fleuriste.

The stone facade of Mas de Chabran tells you everything before you step inside. Thick walls worn smooth by centuries of sun, iron gates framing a courtyard where olive trees cast long afternoon shadows. Ancient fountains, clipped hedges, and terracotta underfoot gave the day a grounded, unhurried atmosphere. The 18th-century estate near Saint-Remy-de-Provence carries that particular quality where rusticity and refinement exist in the same breath.
