Regan and Ryan chose Chateau de Mairy, a 17th-century Monument Historique in Champagne, from photographs alone and turned it into a five-day house party for their closest friends and family. Daria Events and Weddings, trusted wedding planners in the Champagne region shaped every detail with unhurried ease. Lisa B. Paris captured a spring celebration against centuries-old architecture across the historic chateau wedding venues of the Grand Est.
Getting Ready

Morning at Chateau de Mairy had a particular quality: cool corridors, thick stone walls holding the night's chill, and sudden warmth where the May sun found a window. Regan got ready in one of the upstairs rooms, her ivory satin slip gown with its cowl neckline laid across a sage green velvet chaise. Hair and makeup by Bridal Makeup with Love happened among bridesmaids who had already spent days together on the estate, the scent of fresh blooms already threading through the rooms from florist Romanie of RomaRosa.

The outdoor ceremony took place on the gravel courtyard in front of the chateau's round stone tower, its pointed slate roof and Gothic arched window framing the vows. Gathered in close rows under the spring sun, every word carried without a microphone. The confetti toss that followed set the tone for an evening built on warmth rather than formality, petals raining down as Regan and Ryan walked back through the crowd arm in arm.

Regan's strapless ivory satin column gown with a draped cowl neckline and detachable overskirt photographed well against the chateau's gravel paths and limestone turrets. The fabric shifted between white and cream as the light changed through the afternoon, the pearl-detailed cathedral-length veil catching the breeze across the formal gardens.

Lisa B. Paris worked the golden hour before dinner, catching the particular spring light of the Marne valley as it fell across the pale facade. One image stands out: the two of them kissing beneath a cathedral-length veil scattered with pearl details, the chateau a soft outline behind. These are portraits that justify booking a venue on instinct alone.

Daria Events and Weddings shaped a reception that felt like the natural close of five days well spent. The long feasting table stretched through the courtyard, lined with gold Napoleon chairs and dressed in white linen. Sage green table runners, bud vases of seasonal blooms, clear crystal glassware, and hand-lettered place cards kept things personal. Catering by DMP Traiteur drew on regional produce, and DJ Passion Anim built from warm dinner music to a sparkler send-off that filled the courtyard with light trails.

The white and green palette let the architecture lead. Romanie built the floral scheme around white peonies, garden roses, sweet peas, astilbe, and scabiosa, with abundant eucalyptus and smilax greenery. Toile de Jouy accents and wooden Napoleon chairs added French character without competing with the stone walls and open sky above.
