Cecilia and Alex gathered their closest friends and family at Le Petit Roulet, a beautifully restored wedding estate in the Luberon, where gardens, courtyards, and shaded terraces shaped a celebration full of warmth and colour. Planned from Switzerland with the help of Savina Uldry, the day unfolded naturally across Provence’s sunlit wedding countryside near Aix-en-Provence.
Getting Ready

Final preparations unfolded in quiet light as hair was pinned and jewellery clasped into place. The bride’s gown hung against pale stone walls, its lines simple and clean, ready for the garden ceremony just beyond the terrace. A sense of calm focus settled over the room before guests began to arrive.
Ceremony

A floral arch anchored the garden ceremony beneath plane trees, where Cecilia and Alex exchanged vows as a friend performed an Elvis classic. Purple, blush, and deep red blooms framed the aisle against a backdrop of green lawns and gravel paths. Guests sat close on wooden chairs, the warm air carrying each word across the garden.
Couple Portraits

The couple moved through gravel paths and garden archways, pausing beneath canopies of green where late light filtered through the leaves. Portraits captured the ease between them, from quiet glances along stone walls to wide frames that pulled in the estate’s layered terraces. The bridal party joined briefly for relaxed group shots on the lawn.
Cocktail Hour

Champagne moved between groups as guests gathered on the terrace for the aperitif, the scent of herbs drifting across the garden. Conversations spilled across the lawn while canapes circulated beneath the trees. The transition from ceremony to reception felt unhurried and natural.
Reception

Long tables with wooden chairs filled the courtyard as glassware caught the fading sun. String lights stretched overhead and champagne flowed between courses, the meal building warmth through local flavours and shared plates. At Last introduced the first dance, and guests lingered easily on the terrace as the sky cooled and music carried into the night.
Design and Details

A palette of soft blush, rich purple, and deep red ran through every arrangement, from the ceremony arch to the long table centrepieces. Crystal glassware and pressed paper added vintage texture alongside hand-written place cards. Herbs and cut flowers mingled across the settings, grounding the design in the Provencal landscape surrounding the estate.
