Dusty Mauve and Spring Blossom at Domaine d’Essendieras, Perigord Vert

Cliona and Stephen’s spring wedding at Domaine d’Essendieras in the Perigord Vert with a dusty mauve palette and ivory florals. By Frances Mary Sales.

Cliona and Stephen built their spring celebration around the English Romantic Garden and reflective pond at Domaine d’Essendieras, a romantic chateau wedding venue in the Dordogne. Dusty mauve bridesmaids, a Watters gown, and early blossom set the tone for a day photographed entirely in natural light by Frances Mary Sales. In one of the chateau’s high-ceilinged rooms with half-open shutters and morning sun cutting across original floors, Cliona stepped into her Watters gown sourced through Memories Bridal Boutique. Eleonora Hairstyliste pinned a low updo while Skin23 built a fresh, natural base. The bridesmaids were already dressed in dusty mauve, passing between rooms with unhurried energy.

Your Dordogne Celebrant led the service in the English Romantic Garden, where early spring blossom formed a natural canopy. Our Fabulous Things dressed the space with white ranunculus, trailing jasmine, and branches of still-budding greenery. Guests sat on either side of a grass aisle bordered by soft ivory florals, the Perigord stone facade warm behind the couple.

Frances Mary Sales led the couple into the parkland at that point in the evening when the sky turns the colour of a faded postcard. Cliona’s Watters gown trailed through long grass while Stephen, in a sharp navy suit from Morley’s Menswear, cut a clean line against the soft Dordogne hills.

Loose Covers Music set up near the south-facing terrace as guests moved into late-afternoon sun, glasses of pale Bordeaux catching the light. Cliona had changed into her second look, a sharp piece by Odd Muse London, and the shift in energy was immediate. March in the Perigord Vert delivered low golden light across the gardens at exactly the right moment.

Long tables dressed with tapered candles in smoke-grey holders stretched beneath high windows, florals from Our Fabulous Things running their length in clouds of white and sage. Perfect Day by Karen held every transition together, from speeches through to the moment Brightlights turned the room into a dance floor. The reflective pond outside caught the last evening light through tall windows.

Our Fabulous Things produced details that rewarded a closer look: ribbon-tied menus on ivory card, individual bud vases of white muscari and sweet pea at every place setting, and a ceremony arch wound with gypsophila and eucalyptus. Cake Baby delivered a towering ivory wedding cake with pressed-flower decoration. The palette ran consistently from bouquets to table linen without ever looking forced.
