Sara and Tom's spring editorial at Couvent Notre-Dame des Pres, a restored 12th-century wedding venue in the Luberon paired ochre stone and raw linen with cafe-au-lait dahlias and duchess satin. Conceived by photographer Yann Bader and styled by L'Unique Event, this fine art shoot at a destination wedding venue in the Provencal countryside let the convent's ancient architecture lead every frame.
Getting Ready

The preparation was captured in black and white: two pairs of hands fastening a structured gown by Ma Jolie Robe Creation with its boned, corset-style bodice and zipper closure. The groom, backlit near a tall multi-pane window, adjusted his cuffs in a dark double-breasted suit. Coralie Sales built a loose chignon with face-framing tendrils while Line Beauty layered warm terracottas and champagne tones across the skin.
Bridal Portraits

The Ma Jolie Robe Creation gown was cut in heavy duchess satin: strapless sweetheart neckline, full A-line skirt pooling on the flagstone floor. In one frame the bride stands within a narrow stone window opening, the volume of the skirt filling the arch. A second gown, entirely covered in three-dimensional fabric flowers and beading, appeared for dappled-light portraits against the warm textured wall.
Couple Portraits

Yann Bader used the full geography of the convent: the bamboo grove, vaulted chapel archways, and the poolside lawn at golden hour with warm sun flare flooding the frame. In one shot, framed by a recessed limestone doorway, the pair stand close with foreheads touching. In another, motion-blurred in black and white, they move through an indoor corridor as the bride wears a short fringed dress for the evening.
Reception

Long tables ran outdoors along a gravel path flanked by bamboo, dressed in grey linen with gold-framed Louis XVI-style oval-back chairs. A sweetheart table sat at the head, laden with the same dense floral runner of cafe-au-lait dahlias. Matte grey ceramics, gold flatware, and printed menus on linen runners completed the place settings. L'Unique Event styled the spring reception to let the shifting ochre-to-grey wall tones speak for themselves.
Design and Details

Les Annees Fleurs worked with cafe-au-lait dahlias tipping into rust, white hydrangeas, ranunculus, baby's breath, and rosehip. The bridal bouquet held lisianthus, sweet peas, anemones, and nigella in a loose arrangement. Les Delices de Gladys produced a tall cylindrical cake in ivory with heavily textured fondant, set on a stone ledge against the colonnade.
Flat Lays

Kaligrafia's stationery suite anchored the compositions: cotton-paper invitations sealed with gold wax, place cards in sepia copperplate, and an RSVP card tied with ivory silk ribbon. Le Baiser de la Mariee contributed art-deco jewellery in aged gold, while a cocktail menu card from Mr. Mojito listed four mojito variations in burgundy script.
Venue

From the air, the 12th-century convent reads as a cluster of honey-stone wings under terracotta tiles, a long pool catching the sky, and a bamboo garden softening the southern boundary. At ground level, the covered arcade of rounded arches and carved stone columns connects ceremony space to reception hall in a single architectural flow. The flagstone courtyard holds warmth deep into the spring afternoon.
