Petal Pink and Beeswax Tapers at Domaine les Grillons, Provence
A Provencal editorial at Domaine les Grillons near Montelimar with Galia Lahav silk, petal-pink florals, and olive grove portraits. Photos by Alchemia.
Set in the countryside near Montelimar, this editorial at Domaine les Grillons explored Provence through texture, tone, and restraint. Savina Uldry planned the day across the restored stone farmhouse and its olive groves, creating a refined wedding destination in the heart of Provence.
Getting Ready

Galia Lahav's structured ivory silk column gown was laid against the estate's rough-plastered walls as Mael Jorand built a look of undone warmth: barely-there brows and a clean rose-tinted lip. Stationery by CMO Studio in cream card stock with blush letterpress sat arranged on an antique dressing table, each envelope sealed with a wax medallion the colour of dried roses.
Bridal Portraits

Lala Hawassian moved through the courtyard in the Galia Lahav gown with quiet confidence, the structured bodice catching southern light differently at every angle. Alchemia Photo and Film worked between the shadow of the stone archway and the full blaze of the garden. One frame in particular: the bride mid-turn, one hand lifting a fold of the skirt, the olive grove blurred behind her.
Couple Portraits

In the olive grove, dappled canopy filtered the afternoon into something softer than full sun. Alchemia Photo and Film alternated between posed and unposed frames while videographer Laurent Rostaing moved alongside, capturing small exchanges and longer silences. The light arrived in pieces, landing differently on silk than on stone, and the landscape held both modes without either feeling forced.
Reception

Crystal stemware, porcelain side plates, and beeswax tapers already lit against the cooling evening air dressed the long garden table. Above, olive trees moved in the same breeze that had been present all day. Savina Uldry used the venue's natural rhythm as the primary design element, letting Provencal light and stone do the work across five elements: pink, ivory, stone, flame, and glass.
Design and Details

Le Fleurist composed florals in a tone-on-tone read of pink: blush garden roses, pale peony heads, and clusters of white lisianthus arranged low along the table so sightlines stayed open across the gravel garden. Silk runners in ivory ran the length beneath slender beeswax tapers, and CMO Studio's dusty rose stationery echoed the palette without competing. The restored stone farmhouse provided warm sand-coloured walls and iron-framed windows as backdrop.
