Coral-to-Blush Ombre and Couture Bows at Chateau du Prieure d'Evecquemont
A Dior-inspired October wedding at Chateau du Prieure d'Evecquemont near Paris. Coral-to-blush staircase florals, couture gowns. 57 photos by Aude Lucas.
A double staircase lined in graduating blooms from coral to blush set the tone for this Dior-inflected celebration at Chateau du Prieure d'Evecquemont, a neoclassical wedding estate near Paris. Planner Justine Huette shaped the day around sculptural silhouettes, bow details, and a palette moving from warm coral to chalky lavender, while Aude Lucas caught late afternoon light going gold through the lime tree allee. In one of the chateau's upper rooms, Fanny Wong styled a blush-rose palette while harpist Dora Vlad played below, the sound threading through the floorboards. The gown from Top Bridal Paris, an off-shoulder ivory duchess satin with a sculpted bodice and signature bow, hung against the panelled wall. Nicole Felicia Couture's second look, a blush column dress with corseted detailing, waited nearby for the evening ahead.

Aude Lucas used the grounds fully, placing the couple mid-allee with sideways afternoon light streaming across the gravel, the veil lifting in a faint breeze. Against the kitchen garden stone wall and the broad lawn, the ivory satin glowed in that soft diffused overcast particular to northern France. The bridal party gathered beneath the lime trees in coordinated dusty rose and mauve, the groomsmen in Oscar Paris charcoal-grey suits with mauve pocket squares.

Dinner beneath the lime tree allee arrived as candlelight steadied in the early evening breeze. Thomas Augier captured the whole evening on video as guests moved between the candlelit tables. Wedding Cakes and Co created a hand-painted cake echoing the floral palette in soft pink, saffron yellow, and violet, while the colour story that began on the staircase that morning held steady through salmon, blush, and terracotta candlelight.

Veronique Lorre arranged each staircase step with single-bloom varieties graduating from deep coral through salmon to pale blush at the top, a living ombre effect. Tall brass candelabras held tapered candles in ivory and terracotta on the tables beneath the lime trees, while hand-painted butterfly motifs from the stationery suite scattered as confetti. White linen napkins folded into architectural points dressed each place setting.

Bonjour Paper's stationery set the Dior mood immediately, thick card stock with a typeface nodding to couture house archives and an envelope liner in deep mauve. Jewellery by Jonidaripani, a delicate ear cuff and pearl-drop pendant, sat beside the suite on raw silk the colour of clotted cream. The Flatlay Design styled the arrangement, completing it with a single apricot ranunculus.

The pale stone facade, symmetrical windows, and sweeping double staircase give every angle a natural frame at this neoclassical estate forty kilometres from Paris. The lime tree allee cuts through the grounds carrying the eye straight to the horizon, while the interior salons with parquet floors and tall shuttered doors shifted between ceremony space and cocktail room. The estate trees were just beginning to turn, adding warm amber and russet to the saturated colour story.
