Deep Tones and Summer Light Wedding at Domaine de Perrotin

Celia and Adrien hosted 100 guests at Domaine de Perrotin near Bordeaux for a four-day summer wedding. Violet florals, a 26-metre Pavlova. By Cleya Asulon.

Twenty-six metres of Pavlova, carried through a garden in one triumphant procession: that was the moment this wedding became a legend. Domaine de Perrotin, a 15-hectare estate near Bordeaux where Lebanese cedars four centuries old frame the outdoor spaces, was the setting Celia and Adrien chose for a four-day gathering of 100 guests in late July 2025.

Preparations unfolded across separate corners of the estate. Celia's Maison NCV gown was put on with deliberate care, each piece of Cartier jewellery fastened by hand as Les Coquettes Party completed hair and makeup with the kind of precision this day demanded. Her personalised veil, inscribed with "Fly Me to the Moon," was the last thing placed before she stepped out into the Bordeaux light. Adrien dressed in a bespoke Blandin & Delloye suit, its clean lines as considered as the rest of the day's design.

Bordeaux wedding photographer Cleya Asulon found the estate's most resonant backdrops: a stone chimney breast inside the venue, soft garden pathways at golden hour, and Celia's long lace gown spreading across the ground as she stood alone, her veil catching the last of the evening sun. The black-and-white portraits, a kiss inside the veil, distil the day into something stripped of everything but the two of them.

As evening fell, a single long communal table emerged through the parkland beneath the cedars, lit by cascading string lights. One hundred guests, one table, one conversation. Then the Pavlova arrived: over 26 metres of spun sugar, cream, and fruit, carried in one theatrical procession that sent a wave of delight along the entire table. A saxophonist played through the warm evening, and when the night reached its peak, fireworks erupted among the cedars. This private domaine near Bordeaux's wine country proved it can hold a celebration of any ambition.

Wedding planner Charlotte Poesie built a palette of violet, chocolate, and white mocha that ran through every surface. Les Mauvaises Herbes kept each arrangement disciplined: white, green, and violet blooms in clean, modern lines. Option Bordeaux supplied tableware with brown napkins reinforcing the tonal control. La Belle Tente's cascading lights turned the cedar-framed garden into the evening's most unforgettable image, and Soulex Production kept the music moving. For couples drawn to this kind of considered design at a destination wedding estate in the South of France, these details set the standard.

A diamond ring in its red Cartier box. The invitation, printed in the brown and violet palette that defined every surface. Adrien's grooming accessories, black cufflinks and cologne, the quiet details of a groom who understood that care lives in the small things. Celia's Cartier jewellery sat alongside wildflower cuttings from the Les Mauvaises Herbes arrangements, a collection that told the day's story in miniature.
