Gradient Florals and Candlelit Salons at Chateau de Bonaventure, Paris Region

Gradient florals from blush to cobalt, an Oksana Mukha gown, and candlelit salons at Chateau de Bonaventure near Paris. 40 photos by Lina Raziq.

Coral ranunculus against pale limestone marked the start of this gradient colour story at Chateau de Bonaventure, a historic wedding estate near Paris. Floral designer Un Jour Petillant dedicated each arrangement to a single shade, sequencing colour from garden to salon across this enchanting wedding venue destination in the Ile-de-France region.

Bridal Portraits

On the east terrace, afternoon light hit the pale stone at a low angle, turning everything warm gold. The bride stood against the arched doorway, train arranged in a single clean sweep, her Oksana Mukha Paris gown's structured bodice holding its line perfectly. Lina Raziq worked the changing shadow until she had the frame: bride mid-turn, the cobalt delphinium arrangement just visible through the window behind her.

Through the woodland path behind the chateau, light filtered through oak canopy into something softer and more diffuse. The groom wore a Chris Von Martial double-breasted ivory suit, keeping both figures inside the same tonal world. Lina Raziq guided the couple through dappled shade, finding pockets where green pushed warm against white fabric. Near an old stone wall, they stopped laughing at the same time and just looked at each other.

Alexandrine Wedding timed the transition from terrace to salon as the light dropped, and hundreds of tapers at varying heights brought the interior alive. The colour gradient ran the full length of the room: blush, apricot, saffron, cobalt. Acaris Location's unbleached linen napkins and rattan charger plates grounded the vivid florals. Videographer Audric Odrian moved through the room without flash, capturing the shifting warmth.

Un Jour Petillant composed each centrepiece in a single shade: ivory garden roses and white lisianthus on one table, cadmium yellow sunflowers and golden solidago on the next, deep cobalt delphiniums and violet lisianthus anchoring the far end. Daily Cake Paris contributed a four-tier white fondant cake topped with fresh peonies in pale champagne. Stationery from Aujourd'hui c'est arrived in shades from dusty rose through tangerine to cornflower blue.

A getting-ready scene set in a hotel or boutique accommodation bedroom, where a bride in a white short robe examines her wedding dress, which is hung from a wooden wardrobe or door frame. The gown is a strapless ballgown style in ivory with an intricate floral appliqué or jacquard skirt and a full cathedral-length veil draped alongside it. The bride has her dark hair styled in an updo and is touching the bodice of the dress while looking at it closely. In the foreground, a gray upholstered armchair with a wooden frame holds a pair of pearl-embellished ivory heeled shoes, and a vibrant bridal bouquet of hot pink, coral, and peach ranunculus and peonies sits nearby. The room features navy blue floral wallpaper with a bird-and-branch motif, wood-framed furniture, and light blue accent pillows on the bed. The shot is a medium-wide portrait composition capturing both the bride and the full length of the gown.
A black-and-white close-up portrait of a bride sitting in a bubble bath, captured from the chin down to mid-torso. The frame is filled with soft, voluminous foam bubbles in bright whites, while the bride's bare shoulders and décolletage are visible above them. Her hand is raised to her chest, prominently displaying a diamond solitaire engagement ring with a pavé band. Her hair is loosely styled and she appears to wear a small floral hair accessory. The image has a soft, fine-grain film quality with gentle contrast and bright highlights in the foam. This is a getting-ready or bridal boudoir-style detail shot.
