Monochrome Elegance at Domaine d'Uzes, Chateau de Fontareches

Nicole and Tanner turned a six-day house party into a monochrome celebration at Domaine d'Uzes, a private stone estate at the gates of Provence. Black tuxedos, white hydrangeas, and vintage silverware set the tone, with Empreinte Ephemere, a sought-after destination wedding planner in Provence guiding the design. Cova Production captured the day across the estate's terraces and gardens, framing the celebration against one of the most elegant destination wedding locations in Provence.
Getting Ready

Nicole dressed in one of the chateau's stone-walled rooms, tall windows throwing soft light across the Jana Ann Couture gown as it was fastened. Her bridesmaids, already in fitted black dresses, gathered close with champagne in hand. Downstairs, Tanner and the groomsmen adjusted bow ties and cufflinks in the farmhouse kitchen, their black tuxedos sharp against the rustic stone.
Ceremony

White Napoleon chairs formed crisp rows on the terrace, cream parasols open against the midday brightness. Le Fleuriste built a circular ceremony arch of white hydrangeas, garden roses, and trailing greenery that framed the couple against the estate's honeyed facade. Nicole walked the stone path on her father's arm, and the vows unfolded with the Provence hills soft in the distance.
Bridal Portraits

Nicole against the arched colonnades of Domaine d'Uzes carried a quiet editorial quality. The Jana Ann Couture gown moved well on stone, its clean lines holding shape while the cathedral veil lifted in the afternoon breeze. Cova Production framed these portraits where the architecture narrowed and the light fell warmest.
Couple Portraits

Cova Production led Nicole and Tanner to the estate's stone staircase and the gardens beyond, working the late afternoon light as it shifted from gold to soft amber. The frames hold a particular ease, two people six days into a house party who had long stopped performing for the camera.
Bridal Party

The bridesmaids wore black dresses in varied silhouettes, each carrying a white hydrangea bouquet tied with black ribbon. Against the warm stone, the monochrome palette read modern and striking. Tanner's groomsmen in black tuxedos completed the group, and the full party photograph on the chateau lawn captured a well-dressed crew at total ease.
Cocktail Hour

Guests drifted into the garden for cocktails as the honeyed walls released the stored warmth of the day. White hydrangeas in stone urns marked the transition from ceremony to evening, and the sound of conversation settled against clipped hedges and gravel paths.
Reception

Citron Pavot Traiteur served dinner at long tables dressed in white linen, where crystal glassware caught the fading light. Grapes, pears, and whole fennel heads sat among white and green hydrangea, and vintage silverware sourced by Empreinte Ephemere anchored each setting. A meringue and berry flat cake closed the meal before dancing carried the party well past midnight.
Design and Details

Le Fleuriste worked in white and green, weaving hydrangeas, garden roses, and trailing foliage through ceremony arch, table centres, and stone urns. The monochrome palette extended to stationery, parasols, and ribbon-wrapped bouquets. Vintage silverware and transferware plates from Empreinte Ephemere gave each table setting a collected quality, grounding the black-and-white scheme with textural warmth.
Venue

Domaine d'Uzes sits at the edge of Provence, its 19th-century stone and clipped gardens holding the scale and privacy of a full estate. Rooms enough for the entire guest list, a terrace that frames outdoor ceremonies against the facade, and interiors that shift from grand to intimate with the light.
