Calla Lilies and Candlelight at Domaine la Blondellerie, Loire Valley
Camille and Antoine wed near Chambord with calla lilies, a Danielle Frankel gown, and candlelit reception at Domaine la Blondellerie. By Vanessa Olewicz.

Camille and Antoine married at Domaine la Blondellerie, a family property near Chateau de Chambord where Australian warmth met French tradition under centuries-old trees. Louise Boucher of Agence LB, a refined wedding planner in the Loire Valley guided every detail, from calla lilies carried by the bride's grandmother on her own wedding day to a candlelit reception where Leone Floral Studio replaced overhead lighting entirely. This summer celebration unfolded across the historic chateaux and manor estates of the Loire Valley.
Getting Ready

The getting-ready rooms at the domaine had low ceilings and wide windowsills, and the morning light through the shutters fell in strips across the floor. Charlene Dahan worked with warm ivory and champagne-blush tones while the Danielle Frankel gown, fluid and column-cut in that signature fabric weight, lay across a velvet chair. Someone opened a window. Outside, the fields were silver-green and completely still.
Ceremony

The Eglise de Chambord sits within the grounds of Chateau de Chambord itself. Fleur-de-lis stone carvings on the columns caught the light, and the nave carried the scent of cold stone and old candle wax. Calla lilies dressed the ends of each pew, tied with undyed linen ribbon. When Antoine saw Camille come through the door, he pressed his lips together briefly before smiling, one of those moments Vanessa Olewicz caught exactly.
Couple Portraits

Late evening in the domaine's lower orchard, the first cool air coming in off the fields. Camille and Antoine walked through the grass while Vanessa Olewicz followed at a distance. The domaine's exterior lights picked up the ivory of the Danielle Frankel gown and the white of Antoine's shirt against the dark treeline. These are the photographs where the day stopped being a production and became the two of them.
Cocktail Hour

Swing Cocktail set up in the uncut field east of the main house, brushed snare and walking double bass drifting across the grass as guests arrived. MG Reception Traiteur Guerault served champagne in wide-bowled coupes alongside Loire Valley charcuterie and oysters from the coast. Camille took off her shoes in the grass somewhere around the second glass.
Reception

Antique pressed-glass goblets and silver-rimmed chargers sat alongside clean, spare menus. Candles from Bougies en Granules covered every surface, pillar candles, votives, and tapers in warm ivory and translucent horn-grey, replacing overhead lighting entirely. Leone Floral Studio ran calla lily, cymbidium orchid, and dusty miller down the centre of long oak tables. Denwald handled the evening set, building from dinner conversation into a dancefloor that emptied only once the fireworks by Pyro Concept lit the sky.
Venue

Domaine la Blondellerie is a lived-in family property with stone outbuildings, uncut meadow fields, and wisteria-draped walls that take generations to grow. Louise Boucher of Agence LB worked with the existing architecture, letting weathered cream limestone and rusted iron gates do the heavy lifting before a single flower was arranged. The property sits minutes from Chateau de Chambord, lending the surrounding landscape a sense of scale.
