Tom and Samantha's celebration at Chateau Lacanaud, a private Dordogne estate with infinity pool and guest accommodation was both professional precision and deeply personal joy. The bride, a destination wedding planner herself, built the weekend around chalk white linen, white hydrangeas by The Vintage House, and live music from The Distractions Band. Marisoul Studio captured the day across the chateau's terraces and poolside gardens, framing the celebration against one of the most sought-after destination wedding estates in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Getting Ready

The morning unfolded in Chateau Lacanaud's stone-walled rooms, natural light filtering through tall shuttered windows. Samantha's Bonbride gown hung in crisp ivory folds, its structured silhouette catching the quiet. Champagne was poured, hair was pinned, and downstairs The Vintage House arranged the first bunches of white hydrangeas.
Ceremony

The ceremony was held in the open air, with the chateau's facade as backdrop and the Dordogne hills beyond. Chairs in clean rows, no excess decoration, the architecture and landscape carried the moment. White roses by The Vintage House marked the aisle ends, and the light fell at exactly the right angle as Samantha walked toward Tom.
Couple Portraits

Marisoul Studio worked the golden hour and the blue that follows it, the chateau receding into soft focus behind Tom and Samantha. The first look against the grand facade broke into laughter, and the Bonbride gown in chalk white caught the honey-coloured stone. Later frames on the hillside, her veil lifting in the breeze, carried the ease of two people who reached the end of a full day and found it was exactly right.
Bridal Party

The bridal party wore a quiet palette of soft neutrals against the chateau's creamy walls. The Vintage House threaded white blooms through buttonholes and bouquets, tying the whole group to the day's floral thread. What came through in every frame was ease: friends who had spent a full weekend together before the ceremony.
Reception

Poolside cocktails opened the evening as The Distractions Band played live sets that carried across water and stone. Dinner followed on the terrace beneath the open Perigord sky, long tables dressed in chalk-white linen and candlelight. Our Fabulous Things provided glassware and furniture with enough character to feel personal. Samantha had designed this flow for other couples across years of work, and to finally sit at the table herself carried its own quiet arrival.
Design and Details

The Vintage House worked within pure white and soft ivory, letting texture carry the visual weight: white garden roses, airy hydrangeas, linen weave against rough-cut stone. Crisp white tablecloths, crystal catching candlelight, and arrangements that kept the eye moving without ever competing with the chateau's limestone warmth.
Venue

Chateau Lacanaud sits in the Perigord Vert with its infinity pool extending toward oak-covered hills. Stone outbuildings frame a natural ceremony space, and the interior rooms hold light the way old French limestone does: diffuse, golden, warm even in shadow. Welcome drinks through to dancing happened within one footprint.
