Marika and Charlie chose Chateau Engalin, a historic chateau wedding venue with chapel ruins in Occitanie for a celebration that moved from ancient stone archways to candlelit dining beneath beamed ceilings. Paco & Aga photographed the day across courtyards, terraces, and far-reaching views of the Occitanie countryside, one of the most characterful wedding regions in the South of France.
Getting Ready

The morning unfolded inside the chateau's historic rooms as Marika prepared in the company of her bridal party. Her Suzanne Neville gown, a structured ivory crepe design with clean architectural lines, hung against the tall French doors. The attendants chose varied tones that read personal and modern, each adjusting final details in the soft light filtering through the shuttered windows.
Ceremony

Inside Chateau Engalin's on-site chapel ruins, pale stone walls held the cool air as white blooms brightened the archways overhead. Low greenery lined the aisle and soft music marked the processional as guests gathered close. Vows echoed off the ancient masonry, applause followed, and Marika and Charlie stepped together into the open air. Paco & Aga moved quietly through the space, their frames shaped by the contrast of ivory crepe against centuries-old stone.
Bridal Portraits

Marika moved through the chateau's stone archways and courtyard paths as the Suzanne Neville gown caught the light in clean lines against the warm ochre stonework. Paco & Aga found their strongest frames in the contrast between the structured ivory crepe and the weathered surfaces of the chapel ruins. A trailing veil caught the breeze as she paused beneath one of the arched doorways.
Couple Portraits

Marika and Charlie walked the estate's paths between courtyards and terraces as Paco & Aga worked at a comfortable distance. The far-reaching views of the Occitanie countryside stretched behind them in soft tones, while the chateau's textured masonry provided close-up backdrops of weathered stone and trailing ivy. The couple paused near the chapel entrance, where the light fell evenly through the open archway.
Bridal Party

The bridal party gathered along the paths connecting the courtyards, their varied dress tones reading as individual against the pale stone backdrop. Short walks between terraces and archways kept the group moving, with Paco & Aga directing the flow between the chapel entrance and the main courtyard. The groomsmen assembled near the terrace railing, the far-reaching views of Occitanie rolling out behind them.
Reception

A passing shower prompted a quick reset indoors, and the dining room answered with warm candlelight reflected in glass. Plates arrived in calm rhythm as French Bague-ette kept the schedule on time, guiding courses and speeches with steady pace. Later the dancefloor filled and the evening extended comfortably as rain eased outside. The venue's covered options near the main hall made the weather shift feel considered rather than improvised. Candles and greenery dressed the long tables in white and green tones.
