Silk and Meadow Florals at Manoir de Gerville, Normandy
Michelle and Casey married at Manoir de Gerville in Normandy with a Jane Hill silk gown and pastel meadow florals. 50 photos by Frances Mary…
Michelle and Casey's wedding unfolded at Manoir de Gerville, a pale stone estate among fields and hedgerows five kilometres from the Normandy coast. Guests arrived along tree-lined lanes to find clipped lawns and a relaxed celebration shaped by pastel meadow florals and silk bridal fashion, all captured by Frances Mary Sales, a destination wedding photographer featured on French Wedding Style. The setting offered ceremony lawns, garden paths, and candlelit dining rooms within one charming Normandy estate surrounded by rolling countryside.

Morning light poured through the manor's tall windows as Michelle prepared in one of its upper rooms. The silk of the Jane Hill Huntleigh gown, ordered through The Bridal Studio Utah, caught the pale sun and held it, the fabric's weight giving the dress a presence even on the hanger. A quiet hand on a shoulder, a last look in the mirror, then the small held breath before everything began.

A single cello note opened Ed Sheeran's Perfect and told every guest it was time. Michelle walked toward Casey through an aisle lined with low pastel meadow arrangements by The Painted Bouquet: white cosmos, blush ranunculus, and pale mauve sweet peas, all loose and unstructured. Casey stood in his black Bonobos suit and bow tie, and the expression in these photographs needs no caption.

Alone in the gardens before the ceremony, Michelle moved between the clipped hedgerows and gravel paths in the Huntleigh gown with an ease that matched the setting entirely. The silk skimmed the ground, picking up traces of morning dew along its hem. Frances Mary Sales found angles that made the manor's geometry work with the dress rather than against it, archways, straight lawn edges, the long shadow of a stone wall.

Michelle and Casey's couple portraits happened in the golden window between cocktail hour and dinner. Frances Mary Sales worked the gravel paths and garden rooms, finding moments rather than manufacturing them. The pair moved through the grounds with the ease of two people who had stopped noticing the camera. One photograph, Casey laughing, Michelle mid-turn, the manor just visible at the edge of the frame, is the whole day in a single image.

Dinner moved indoors to the manor's main dining room, where Dine Indulge's service was smooth and unhurried and the candlelight made the pale stone walls glow a deep amber. Long tables ran the length of the room with low floral arrangements keeping every guest in sight of every other guest. Speeches drew laughter and a few tears, and afterward the couple took their first dance in country swing while guests spread across the lawns with glasses in hand.

The design language held steady from ceremony to reception: pale linens in oat and soft white, low table arrangements in the same meadow palette as the aisle, blush ranunculus, white anemone, and touches of sage foliage. The Painted Bouquet's work throughout was restrained in the best sense, floral choices that felt grown rather than arranged. Casey's Allen Edmonds shoes in warm chestnut sat alongside the ivory silk of the Huntleigh gown in the detail shots, nothing competing, everything belonging.
