Linen and Candlelight at Manoir de Vacheresses, Yvelines

Vows were exchanged in the open air against the manor's honey-coloured stone facade, framed by mature greenery that needed no added decoration. Bouquets held loose clusters of ivory garden roses, white astrantia, and trailing silver-green eucalyptus. Applause lifted across the grass as the last words landed, spontaneous and unrehearsed.

Long tables were set under open sky as dusk gathered over the Yvelines, candles registering as the garden light softened to deep amber. Guests settled into rattan-backed chairs, conversation and cutlery ebbing and swelling in the easy rhythm of a dinner nobody wanted to end. The manor's old stone walls held the warmth of the day well into evening.

Table runners in undyed washed linen sat against bare wood, anchored by low arrangements of white ranunculus, blush sweet peas, and sprigs of wild herbs. Menus were printed on heavyweight cotton-finish card in warm sepia ink. Cream pillar candles and slim tapers stood at varying heights, creating rhythm down each table. Rings in brushed gold and pave settings rested on raw silk alongside an ecru invitation suite with terracotta-ink lettering.
