They met on a dating app in San Francisco and proposed during Monterey Car Week, overlooking the Pacific. France felt right from the start. Chateau de Saint-Martory, a Renaissance castle on the Garonne River in Occitanie, gave them five days with close family and friends, stone walls turning warm in the afternoon light and long dinners stretching past midnight in the farmhouse courtyard. The palette built itself around the couple's favourite contrasts: deep burgundy, soft coral, and pale mint against centuries-old stone.
Getting Ready

The bride got ready in a room with exposed stone walls and open white shutters, surrounded by three women helping with last-minute adjustments. Her hair was swept into a slicked-back low chignon, makeup minimal with defined brows. Down the hall, the groom adjusted his bow tie in a wood-panelled library, bookshelves floor to ceiling, his best man beside him in a matching tuxedo.
Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony took place on a lawn in the chateau grounds, with a wooden arch draped in mixed foliage and pampas grass framing the exchange of vows. The groom wore a deep burgundy tuxedo jacket with black lapels and a red boutonniere. Their first kiss was followed by a petal toss exit through a tunnel of blush and red rose petals thrown by guests lining the gravel path outside the wedding venue in Occitanie.
Bridal Portraits

The bride's gown was a sleeveless column cut with a sheer tulle overlay scattered with small pearl embellishments and a low scoop back. A hidden detail: the interior lining featured a bold floral print in coral, blush pink, dusty blue, and red. She paired it with pale mint Christian Louboutin peep-toe heels with the signature red sole. Her bouquet carried coral garden roses, ivory roses, blush ranunculus, deep burgundy blooms, pampas grass, and eucalyptus.
Couple Portraits

Portraits unfolded along the tree-lined gravel driveway and in the wooded grounds, dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy. The groom's burgundy dinner jacket caught the light against the chateau's conical-roofed towers and stone facade. One frame stands out: the couple posing at the end of the drive, the full Renaissance silhouette of the chateau behind them, gravel underfoot and late summer air around them.
Reception

Dinner was set in the gravel courtyard of the chateau's farmhouse building, stone walls with teal-painted shutters wrapped in red and green climbing vines forming the backdrop. Round tables dressed in pale powder-blue linens carried the courtyard under a canopy of fairy lights as the evening turned warm and dark. They toasted with champagne at their sweetheart table before moving inside for a first dance, the bride's beaded belt catching the low light.
Design and Details

The welcome sign stood on a natural wood easel against the chateau's stone wall: dark walnut board with hand-lettered text in a watercolour floral frame of anemones and peonies. A ceremony backdrop of foliage, pampas grass, and mixed greenery marked the lawn space before guests arrived. The stationery suite carried the same painted floral motif in coral and blush, tying together menu cards and place settings across the reception tables.
