Lauren and Christopher chose a working Bordeaux vineyard for a celebration rooted in a shared history with the region. Chateau de Garde, an elegant vineyard wedding estate near Bordeaux kept everything at one address, from ceremony lawns to dinner terraces and guest rooms within limestone walls. Elsa Caza photographed the day across 38 images at this romantic destination wedding venue in the Bordeaux countryside.
Getting Ready

Gang de Nanas handled makeup and Jennifer Artisan Coiffeur styled hair inside the chateau's own rooms, so Lauren never left the property. Her Leah Da Gloria gown, a structured ivory duchess satin bodice with a weighted skirt, caught both the sharp morning light and the quiet focus of the hour before everything moved. Madeleines et Macarons provided a second dress for the evening shift.
Ceremony

Pink and white garden roses arranged by Atelier Septembre framed the aisle in generous clusters, leaving the vineyard view beyond clear and open. Warm March air moved across the rows as guests settled into the garden. Lauren's father walked her down, and the stone backdrop of Chateau de Garde grounded every frame in the Bordeaux countryside.
Couple Portraits

Elsa Caza took Lauren and Christopher into the vineyard rows after the champagne tower, the sky behind them that deep Bordeaux blue arriving about forty minutes after sunset. The ivory satin picked up what light remained, and these are the frames that will end up on walls, two people alone for the first time all day, surrounded by the vines that brought them to France.
Bridal Party

The bridesmaids chose champagne, that warm straw-meets-cream tone that sat cleanly against limestone and pale sky. Christopher's side mirrored it in soft neutral linen, and the combined effect in group portraits was cohesive without being regimented. By the time Happy Music had everyone gathered, the atmosphere had already tipped into celebration.
Reception

Deval Traiteur catered dinner as the terrace light turned honey-gold and conversation built between courses. A champagne fountain marked the toast, glasses stacked in a pyramid catching the last daylight. Happy Music read the room well, and by the time dancing began the chateau's interior was warm with candlelight and the particular noise of a wedding fully relaxed into itself.
Design and Details

Tables carried names drawn from nearby vineyards, a geography lesson disguised as a seating plan. Menus printed with a gold sketch of the chateau doubled as keepsakes. Atelier Septembre built the floral language around blush and ivory garden roses, with loose greenery that leaned into the agricultural surroundings. Souchon Reception kept the table decor to the same palette, with candlelight doing the heavy lifting as evening arrived.
