Gypsophila Clouds and Candlelit Stone at Chateau de Chapeau Cornu, Lyon
Amelie and Jordan's all-white summer wedding at Chateau de Chapeau Cornu near Lyon. Fabric altar, gypsophila aisles, candlelit cellar. By Aleisha Edwards.
Amelie and Jordan's summer wedding at Chateau de Chapeau Cornu, a terracotta-roofed estate forty-five minutes from Lyon was built on a single design rule: ivory and warm white, nothing else. Planner Jasmin and Peonies and designer Coramour carried that vision from a fabric altar beneath open sky to a candlelit vaulted cellar. Aleisha Edwards Weddings captured every surface across this design-forward celebration in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes countryside.
Getting Ready

The morning started in wood-panelled rooms, dark carved armoires and a wrought-iron four-poster bed framing the bridal party as they gathered. Amelie's strapless white lace gown and long veil drew a reaction heard down the corridor. K-Larem kept hair and makeup clean and understated. In a separate room, Jordan and his groomsmen buttoned into dark suits, the mood quieter and focused.
Ceremony

Rows of white wooden chairs faced an altar built from structured ivory fabric panels hung beneath a large tree on the chateau grounds. The aisle was lined with dense gypsophila at ground level, reading as white cloud. Gospel singers from Kassy Musiq filled the space with sound that held everyone still. The first kiss landed to genuine applause, and a champagne coupe tower poured by the couple marked the crossing from vows to celebration.
Bridal Portraits

Against harvested wheat fields and rolling hills behind the property, Amelie's column-cut ivory gown photographed like architecture. No excessive embellishment, no cathedral train: a clean silhouette that held its own against the landscape. The natural, understated styling let the dress and the setting do the work. Aleisha Edwards Weddings caught the fabric against golden summer light.
Couple Portraits

Aleisha Edwards Weddings worked across the chateau's gravel courtyard and surrounding hills, catching the open July light on fabric and skin. Against the stone tower, beneath a billowing veil, in the golden warmth of a summer afternoon. The frame that will last: the two of them kissing beneath the veil, the world behind them blurred into soft light.
Bridal Party

The bridal party wore deep ivory, that warm near-white that sits well against stone and green. Bouquets from Les Nanas followed the same logic: white gypsophila clouds and single-variety white roses, no filler. The groom and three groomsmen stood together in dark suits before the same draped ivory backdrop, and the contrast worked perfectly against the chateau's pale limestone walls.
Reception

Dinner took place in the chateau's vaulted stone cellar: two long banquet tables beneath arched ceilings, candles reflected in glassware, white drapery absorbing the light and returning it diffused. Blanc casse linens and pillar candles dressed each place. DJ Jacks shifted the register after dessert, and Lilie Cakes' white fondant cake was cut to real appreciation.
Design and Details

Coramour's vision held from ceremony to reception: white, ivory, and natural stone as the full palette. A seating chart displayed inside a vaulted stone room against warm terracotta walls. Ze Party's menus and place cards carried the same ink-and-cream treatment. Gypsophila reappeared in low centrepieces alongside white garden roses, and Options Lyon supplied the rentals that kept every table consistent. Bridal accessories arranged on stone steps caught a shaft of natural light.
