An editorial at La Manufacture Royale de Lectoure in Occitanie with ivory crepe, black velvet, and candlelight. 39 photos by Daria Walter.

Pale morning light moved across limestone at La Manufacture Royale de Lectoure, a restored 18th-century wedding venue in Occitanie, where photographer Daria Walter and planner Quinze Heures Quinze, a trusted wedding planner in the South of France shaped a day of graphic contrasts and quiet warmth. Black velvet against white tulle, candleflame against cold stone, every detail balanced edge with softness inside this historic chateau and elegant wedding destination in Occitanie.

Getting Ready

Hair artist Sarah Fekir worked with the bride's dark lengths while Vita Proshchenko built a complexion that reads as porcelain in natural light. The gown from About Love and Co, a sleek ivory silk crepe column, was laid across white linen before being stepped into. A crystal crown from So Helo Bijoux caught the window light first, and jewellery from Naam Joaillerie added fine gold at the wrist and ear.

Against raw limestone and arched doorways, the About Love and Co ivory crepe column held a quiet authority. Daria Walter used the flat, soft light to make the fabric's texture visible and the So Helo Bijoux crystal crown glow without glare. The bouquet from Mauricette Likes Flowers carried white anemones and amaranth, their papery petals the most organic element in a scene that was otherwise architectural and precise.

The pairing of ivory crepe and the black velvet suit from Femme et Homme Chic was the editorial's sharpest visual decision. Daria Walter shot through the courtyards and vaulted passages, leaning into geometry and letting arched openings frame two figures. One frame caught a gloved hand adjusting a lapel, both of them laughing slightly, and that small human crack in the composition made every other image land.

Reception

The dinner room shifted from pale to warm the moment the candles were lit. Long tables ran beneath the vaulted ceiling, set with Abceramic's handcrafted pieces and graphic black cutlery. Benoit Gibert filmed the room from the gallery above as guests found their chairs, the sound of conversation rising into the stone arches. Leila Cakes Creation's dessert table was placed where the candlelight was densest, and that was the right call entirely.

Design and Details

Quinze Heures Quinze built the table design around restraint and materiality. Handcrafted ceramic plates from Abceramic sat on white linen, their irregular edges a deliberate counterpoint to the black cutlery at each setting. Glass vessels held single white anemones. Leila Cakes Creation's three-tier cake in cream anchored the dessert display alongside white amaranth and hellebores from Mauricette Likes Flowers. On stone surfaces nearby, a crystal headpiece, ivory silk ribbon, and a ring box from Naam Joaillerie drew the palette into its tightest focus.
