Marielle and Robin’s wedding at Chateau de Robernier in the Var, with citrus-toned florals and courtyard chandelier dining. 59 photos by Elise Morgan.

Marielle and Robin designed a celebration at Chateau de Robernier, an intimate fairytale castle for weddings in the Var that tasted like Provence itself, from potted citrus trees flanking the ceremony aisle to halved figs scattered between taper candles at dinner. She is Australian, he is French, and their shared brief to planner Amoro Event was direct: make it feel local. Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony took place on a stone terrace framed by panoramic views of the Var hills, with lemon and orange trees in large terracotta pots lining each side of the aisle. White folding chairs were set in two curved rows that drew guests inward. Marielle walked down on the arm of a family member, and she and Robin exchanged their first kiss against a backdrop of rolling green countryside and formal garden hedges.
Couple Portraits

Elise Morgan worked the couple through portraits on the gravel driveway leading to the chateau’s ochre stone facade and turret towers. One frame catches Marielle and Robin forehead to forehead, pink flowering shrubs softening the background. Another, shot in black and white, strips the scene back to just two people and a long driveway, the formality of a tuxedo relaxed by proximity. The golden hour session produced images that feel lived-in rather than posed.
Cocktail Hour

Amoro Event set up the drinks station in the courtyard, where a rustic wooden table held chilled rose, mason jar glasses, and a spread that leaned entirely local: cubed baguette, olives, and cured meats arranged beside potted herbs. A tiered silver fruit stand stacked with fresh oranges doubled as decor. Marielle stood barefoot on the gravel, still in her gown, laughing with guests as the late sun warmed the arched stone facade.
Reception

Dinner was served outdoors in the courtyard beneath crystal chandeliers suspended from arched metal structures above the long tables. The ivy-covered facade with its distinctive blue conical turret tower closed in the space while Edison bulbs at varying heights added warmth. Dessert arrived as a large strawberry-topped tart that Marielle and Robin cut together to cheers. Speeches ran long in the best way, bilingual jokes passing between tables, and the dancing started under the open sky.
Design and Details

The palette ran warm: citrus yellow, burnt orange, copper, and undyed linen. Long banquet tables were covered in natural linen runners and dressed with wildflower-style centrepieces in vivid orange, pink, and white, held in low clusters of bud vases. A seating chart displayed on a grey board with a botanical wildflower illustration sat propped against the chateau’s pale blue shutters. Paper hand fans with laser-cut floral perforations sat at each place setting, and white ironwork scroll-back chairs with cream cushioned seats lined every table.
