Getting Ready

Hannah's Kyha Lucia gown hung beneath a brass chandelier in the bridal suite, its clean strapless silhouette paired with a flowing tulle overskirt for the ceremony. Mlle Coiff styled her hair with a pearl-beaded clip while the bridesmaids slipped into sage green Shona Joy dresses, each cut in a different silhouette. Oliver and his groomsmen kept things relaxed in beige linen Andrew Brooks suits, the spring warmth already filling the stone corridors of the chateau.
Ceremony

A vintage Citroen delivered Hannah up the gravel path to the courtyard, setting a playful tone for the ceremony ahead. A close friend officiated, weaving personal stories through the vows as guests gathered on the lawn framed by the chateau's weathered stone walls. Having already married officially in Edinburgh the week before, Hannah and Oliver leaned into the emotional freedom of the moment, exchanging vows that felt unscripted and deeply personal beneath the spring afternoon sky.
Bridal Portraits

Amali Studios photographed Hannah along the gravel paths and garden hedgerows, her tulle train catching the breeze against the backdrop of mature plane trees. A flower girl in white joined for one frame, the pair framed by the chateau's formal entrance. The fuchsia accent of Hannah's mother's dress added a bold pop of colour to the soft neutral palette in several portraits taken on the stone staircase.
Couple Portraits

Amali Studios captured Hannah and Oliver across the chateau grounds in a relaxed, editorial style, moving from the courtyard's worn stone archways to the grand front staircase. One quiet series came after dinner when the couple slipped away for fifteen minutes of stillness, golden evening light catching the long train and veil as they walked together through the garden. The mix of candid movement and composed poses gave the set a natural, filmic quality.
Bridal Party

The four bridesmaids in sage green gathered with Hannah in the courtyard for a relaxed group portrait, each carrying a single stemmed white rose tied with ribbon. A formal shot on the central gravel path arranged both sides of the wedding party symmetrically against the chateau facade. The groomsmen matched the easy mood in their beige linen suits, and a processional down the lavender-lined garden path made for one of the most natural frames of the day.
Cocktail Hour

Guests gathered around the tiered stone fountain in the woodland garden, with upholstered lounge seating arranged against ivy-clad walls in the courtyard. The afternoon unfolded at an unhurried pace, with conversation and laughter filling the spaces between the chateau's weathered stone buildings.
Reception

Wi's Traiteur served dinner in the newly converted barn space, a glassy orangery-style room that Hannah and Oliver were the first couple to use. Round tables dressed in ivory linen and gold cutlery sat beneath the ruined stone walls, blending the chateau's heritage with a contemporary finish. Captain Star kept the dance floor packed late into the evening, and Ange Giminez provided the cake. Their unrehearsed first dance to James Bay's One Life set the tone for a night full of energy.
Design and Details

Jungle Utopia built a textural scheme around fragrant roses, peonies, orchids, and eucalyptus, accented with anthurium and Icelandic moss for an organic, layered look. A canvas sail shade with black metal framing sheltered the sweetheart table in the courtyard, while a hand-lettered seating chart on white linen hung from a wrought-iron stand. The colour palette of whites, pearl, sage, and gold ran through every detail, from the charger plates to the ribbon-tied napkins.
Flat Lays

A flat lay on ivory tulle arranged the couple's accessories alongside a black glass perfume bottle and a single dried white flower. The bridal bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids, cream garden roses, and eucalyptus appeared in close-up detail shots, its structure balancing soft and architectural elements. Personalised wedding linens added a bespoke touch to the collection.
Venue

The 18th-century stone courtyard served as the heart of the celebration, its weathered walls and balustrade staircase providing a warm, textured backdrop for both the ceremony and dinner. Multiple round tables filled the space beneath open sky, clear glassware catching the fading spring light. The newly converted barn ruin, with its glass panels set into the original masonry, gave the reception a modern edge while keeping the estate's character intact.
