The formal gardens of Chateau de Champlatreux, an 18th-century estate thirty minutes north of Paris, were still green with early spring growth when this wedding unfolded across the grounds and through the gilded salons. Julia Basmann captured the day from first light in the bridal suite through golden-hour portraits at the ornamental fountain, framing ranunculus, tulips, and peach-hued tulle against neoclassical stone and the celebrated Salon Bleu. Five bridesmaids in pale yellow gathered around the bride in a room lined with blue-grey boiserie and rococo plasterwork. A wooden garment rack held the gown alongside the bridesmaid dresses on gold hangers. Laughter and bridal shoes in hand, the bride sat cross-legged on a Louis XVI sofa while final preparations unfolded around her.

The bride stood backlit by tall French windows in a white ball gown, then moved outdoors to the park where she laughed freely in a lace A-line with a deep V-neckline. At golden hour she sat at the edge of an ornamental pond in a fitted ivory gown, her cathedral-length train fanning across the grass around her.

Twenty-one frames traced the couple from the formal lawn, framed by topiary cones and mature linden trees, to the ornamental fountain at golden hour. A circular floral arch thick with white roses and hydrangeas framed a dip kiss. The light dropped lower as they moved across the grounds, the baroque dome of the chateau always somewhere behind them.

A printed linen seating chart hung beside a custom ivory banner reading The Kothos in dark calligraphy. Inside, a live illustrator sketched guests during the reception while round tables carried white pillar candles, low arrangements of spring flowers, and gold-rimmed glassware against the deep red curtains and gilt trim of the salon.

The neoclassical facade of Chateau de Champlatreux rose symmetrically behind formal French gardens, its stone warming to pale gold in the late afternoon. Topiary cones lined the central axis, and mature linden trees framed the perspective down the main drive. Inside, the Salon Bleu offered carved boiserie, tall mirrors, and a marble fireplace that anchored every interior frame. Julia Basmann captured the full sweep of it: the gilded ironwork of the grand staircase, the ornamental fountain catching the last light, and the red damask ballroom where chandeliers threw warm circles across the parquet.
