Pastel Blues and Renaissance Stone at Chateau de Fere, Champagne
Rachel and Eric's pastel blue wedding at Chateau de Fere in Champagne. Toile de Jouy stationery, portico dining, and Renaissance ruins. 43 photos by Julie…
Weathered stone arches, Renaissance porticos, and wide lawns shaped the rhythm of Rachel and Eric's celebration at Chateau de Fere in the Champagne region. The thirteenth-century ruins and formal park offered a layered backdrop where pastel tones met cool masonry and personal details wove through every moment. Bridal Portraits

Rachel stood at the entrance of the chateau, identifiable by its five-star facade and gravel drive, wearing a long-sleeve gown from Mariage des Sacres. A delicate gold hair pin with a floral motif secured her low chignon. Julie Chef used the soft Champagne light to frame Rachel against weathered limestone, the portraits balancing historic grandeur with quiet poise.
Couple Portraits

On the gravel pathways winding through the chateau's park, Julie Chef photographed Rachel and Eric walking beneath old trees with the tricolour flag visible above the roofline. Eric wore a tailored grey suit with a subtle boutonniere, and Rachel's train caught the breeze as they moved between the bridge, courtyards, and terraces that give Chateau de Fere its layered sense of space.
Reception

Dinner unfolded beneath the Jean Goujon portico, where carved Renaissance arches framed the long banquet table as the last sun warmed the stone. Champagne Breton Fils flowed from hammered silver buckets during cocktails, while the seated meal featured blush and cream florals by Atelier Marie Guillemot brightening the limestone without excess. Soft blue ribbons, menus, and napkins carried the couple's palette into every place setting as candles steadied the evening's rhythm.
Design and Details

Instant de Caractere wove a delicate blue thread through every design element, from powder-blue ribbons on the stationery suite by Chamade to toile de Jouy-patterned menus and wax-sealed envelopes. Rings featured a stacked set with a delicate band, displayed alongside hand-finished paper goods and subtle family motifs. Floral arrangements in pastel tones met cool masonry at every turn, the design favouring harmony and restraint over statement.
