Julie and Morgan brought a Californian spirit to a French vineyard when they married at a beautifully restored 18th-century wine estate near Saint-Emilion. Planner Lea Boralevi of By Lea coordinated the full vendor team across a weekend that began with dinner in the village and ended with fireworks over the vines. Ceremony

Beneath a wrought-iron arch wound with plum anemones, rust dahlias, and trailing wine-red amaranthus, Julie and Morgan exchanged vows in both English and French. The officiant switched languages mid-sentence, drawing guests between two worlds. A single gust moved through the vines as the ceremony closed, and the entire garden felt it.
Bridal Portraits

Sam and Larissa captured Julie in the vineyard rows, her ivory crepe gown with a deep-V back catching late-afternoon light as the fabric moved with the breeze. A solo portrait beside cream-coloured columns showed off the strapless silhouette and flowing train against the limestone architecture of the estate.
Couple Portraits

Sam and Larissa moved Julie and Morgan through the estate during the last half-hour of golden light, past stone walls, into vine rows, and back through the courtyard arch. The backlit frames of two people laughing among amber leaves are the kind of photographs that end up on a wall in California.
Bridal Party

Bridesmaids wore individual dresses in dusty mauve and deep plum, lending group portraits a relaxed editorial quality against the limestone facade. Groomsmen in tailored charcoal suits carried terracotta pocket squares that echoed the floral thread running through every arrangement.
Reception

Soulex built the music from low and warm through dinner into a full open floor. Man VS Wine poured Saint-Emilion Grand Cru alongside the main course, Sauternes with dessert. Les Cocktails de Charles mixed a signature elderflower-and-blackcurrant Spritz during the earlier cocktail hour, while O Plaisir Gourmand served Arcachon Bay oysters and duck rillettes. ARTS'I Concept closed the night with fireworks over the vineyard, gold and white against a dark Bordeaux sky.
Design and Details

Long tables dressed in forest-green linen with terracotta-orange napkins held centrepieces of burgundy dahlias and rust mokara orchids in vintage brass urns, alternating with low clusters of garden roses, dried grasses, and thistle heads. Madeleines and Macarons built a four-tier naked sponge cake with pressed edible flowers that mirrored the bouquet exactly.
Venue

Late-afternoon sun turned the limestone amber while vine rows beyond the garden deepened to scarlet and gold. Inside, the converted barn with its exposed timber ceiling and wide-plank floors held long tables ready for candlelight. A black-and-white tiled entrance hall and ornate carved fireplaces gave the restored 18th-century estate its character.
