Dusty Blue Hydrangea and Gold Fireworks at Chateau de Baronville, Loire
Arielle and Joe's autumn wedding at Chateau de Baronville, Loire. Dusty blue hydrangea, gold candlelight, and fireworks. 56 photos by Cedric Klein.
After an Eiffel Tower proposal two years to the day after their first date, Arielle and Joe brought their Washington DC love story to Chateau de Baronville, a grand private estate set in gardens ninety minutes southwest of Paris. Et Si On Se Mariait coordinated the autumn celebration, while Cedric Klein documented every transition from vows beneath a blue hydrangea arch to gold-and-cobalt fireworks. Ceremony

The outdoor ceremony took place beneath a floral arch of dusty blue hydrangea, ivory garden roses, and cascading white wisteria constructed by Be One Paris. Arielle walked the aisle in golden afternoon light, and vows were exchanged against the chateau's garden facade. A light breeze moved through the linden trees as the sound carried easily across the seated rows.
Bridal Portraits

Shot in the walled garden before guests arrived, the portraits by Cedric Klein captured Arielle in full morning light with her cathedral train pooled across the stone path. Her bouquet combined ivory garden roses, powdery blue delphinium, and silver-green eucalyptus. The estate's arched doorways framed the contrast of cool shadow and warm limestone.
Couple Portraits

Cedric Klein took the pair into the grounds as the reception settled into dancing, the chateau's windows glowing warm behind them. In the blue dusk of an October evening, Arielle and Joe moved through the garden allees, her train lifted just slightly off the dew-damp grass. These frames hold that quality of two people entirely themselves, with the estate and a darkening sky behind them.
Bridal Party

Groomsmen wore charcoal morning suits with gold pocket squares and boutonniere details that mirrored the bouquet in miniature. Lined up on the front steps in low sunshine, the full party made a striking picture: cornflower blue, ivory, charcoal, and gold, the palette of the whole day stated plainly and confidently.
Reception

Xavier Hauville's kitchen moved from terrace cocktails through to a multi-course dinner inside the candlelit salons. Champagne coupes circulated as guests explored the formal gardens before the final courses were cleared and Arielle and Joe led everyone outside for fireworks in gold, white, and deep cobalt that matched the entire day's palette against the roofline.
Design and Details

Inside the salons, tables were laid with ivory linen, gold-rimmed charger plates, and centrepieces of tall pillar candles in antique-gold holders flanked by low arrangements of dusty blue hydrangea, blush spray roses, and silver brunia berries from Be One Paris. Place cards in gilt-edged calligraphy matched the invitation suite, and the gold flatware warmed the cool blue palette without overpowering it.
Flat Lays

Every object told part of the story: a calligraphy envelope in cream and gold ink, a ring box cushioned in ivory velvet, and loose petals of pale hydrangea spilling across the linen. The invitation suite carried classic serif script with gilt-edged borders, setting the palette in print before a single arrangement was placed.
Venue

Baronville's warm limestone facade glows in afternoon light, and the estate's formal gardens, clipped hedgerows, and symmetrical allees create a natural frame for every image. Interior salons offer soaring ceilings and wrought-iron chandeliers that cast amber across the stone walls. The architecture does half the work here, and Et Si On Se Mariait understood exactly how to let it breathe.
