Seventy metres of raw silk ribbon, a candy-pink facade, and nine gardens dropping toward the sea. Diana and Jonathan chose Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a landmark Belle Epoque estate on Cap Ferrat for a May wedding built around three shades: ivory, blush, and antique rose. My Ceremonie officiated in the Florentine Garden as afternoon light softened to gold, and Wayne Riley Flowers translated the palette into every arrangement from the ceremony arch to the smallest bud vase, all captured by Tatyana Chaiko across this iconic stretch of the French Riviera coastline.
Getting Ready

Diana dressed in a high-ceilinged suite inside the villa, where pale silk curtains filtered the Riviera morning light. Her ivory gown hung beside a gilded mirror, the silk-satin catching every shift in the room. Accessories were laid out on a marble-topped console: shoes, earrings, a spritz of perfume. The mood was quiet and focused, the kind of calm that comes from knowing the day ahead has been planned down to the last detail.
Ceremony

In the Florentine Garden, Diana and Jonathan exchanged vows beneath a floral arch of blush roses and white hydrangeas by Wayne Riley Flowers. Guests sat on gold-framed chairs with the Mediterranean visible beyond the hedgerows. My Ceremonie officiated as warm spring light softened across the garden, and the couple's first kiss drew applause that carried out over the bay.
Bridal Portraits

Tatyana Chaiko shot Diana against the Spanish Garden's terracotta urns and wisteria in full violet bloom. The ivory silk-satin gown meeting a wall of purple anchored the entire colour story. Her bouquet of garden roses, ranunculus, and dusty-pink peonies by Wayne Riley Flowers sat heavy and generous in her hands, and the late-spring Riviera light gave every surface a golden warmth.
Couple Portraits

Tatyana Chaiko led Diana and Jonathan through the villa's Florentine Garden as late-afternoon light turned the gravel paths warm gold. Against the backdrop of clipped hedges and the Mediterranean far below, they walked close, pausing where the shadows fell longest. One frame caught them mid-laugh on a stone bench beneath a canopy of wisteria. The portraits carry the particular ease of two people who forgot anyone was watching.
Cocktail Hour

Champagne on the Spanish Garden terrace, amber light wrapping the stones. Made in Cake's four-tier creation, ivory fondant with pressed sugar florals in blush and dusty rose, stood on an antique iron table ringed by loose white cosmos. Beyond the glass-clinking, the Mediterranean shifted from silver to gold.
Reception

Monte Carlo Weddings managed the shift from garden to candlelit room with quiet precision. Toasts ran long in the best way. Music moved from string quartet to DJ, and around the third song the dancing became something nobody wanted to stop. Jackets on chair backs, shoes under tables, that particular joy of people who crossed the world to share one room.
Design and Details

Long tables in ivory linen carried low arrangements of blush garden roses, white ranunculus, and dusty-rose astrantia by Wayne Riley Flowers. Tapered candles in brass holders cast warm pools of light. Single-stem bud vases of ranunculus between centrepieces made each table breathe. Stationery on cotton-weave stock in warm sepia ink kept the palette running from invitation to place setting.
Venue

The candy-pink facade of this Belle Epoque villa on Cap Ferrat overlooks Villefranche to the west and Beaulieu to the east. Baroness Beatrice de Rothschild filled its grounds with nine gardens: French formal, Spanish, Florentine, Japanese, Provencal. In May, wisteria drapes the Spanish Garden and jasmine drifts from somewhere you cannot quite locate.
